day 2207 – espr playoff

team espr at the riverway field bright and early for the softball playoffs. it wasn’t the playoff result we wanted, but we had a really fun season, my fourth with this team. each person took many strides throughout and proved that we could contend with teams from the top of tier c. for me, it was switching from first base to hold down the fort at third base. the captains handed out team awards this year; i won the comeback player of the year after missing some games due to injuries. but what i least expected and was winning the female mvp of this season

day 2159 – biking stint

spent canada day olympic lifting, hanging out and having some fun inside and out. while some needed a power nap, i borrowed a bike and took it for a short spin to visit the office. it was a little risky since i haven’t ridden a bike in vancouver for years and years, and never on the streets sharing the road with cars. after a short stint on the bike, we went to watch men in black movie. it wasn’t the best of movies, but i still enjoyed watching hemsworth. i’m so stoked spiderman is coming out tomorrow, and can’t wait to catch it in theatres

day 2150 – tsujiri cravings

it was a not so productive first grass session for myself. i didn’t feel like i could do anything properly as both my ankles are going haywire. though i wish i could do more and get some good training in, it was a fun grass session nonetheless. i still got to toss frisbees, softballs and footballs around. a bunch of us hit up tsujiri to satisfy our matcha cravings. i love matcha soft serve and i don’t think that’s a secret

day 1951 – where’s summer

the weather just got cold in a hurry and i can’t stop myself from thinking back to the summer heat. the things that we could do outdoors without having to think about frozen face and fingers. i walk outside and feel the chills even when i layer up with puffy jackets with scarves. i simply don’t enjoy the cold weathers as much and the amount of layers i have to wear just to stay warm

day 1929 – bugis market

first full day in singapore and we were greeted by a thunderstorm on our way to the hotel. so far, we’ve seen a variety of weather from thunderstorms, pouring rain, and scorching heat. we touched down on bugis market on our first night, a district famous for its street foods and street vendors. we walked through the crowded blocks where things were decently priced. i went home having bought a few pieces of clothing for work

day 1861 – bootcamp survivors

the group of survivors from the outdoor summer bootcamp repping our t-shirts. back at the beginning, attendance from the office was in the thirties; as the summer went on, it slowly trickled down to ten. even though i missed most of the last month’s sessions due to my injuries, i made an effort to be present for the last one. my shoulder still gives restricts me in all my activities. my circuits had to be modified and it so happens everything i could do into a leg day

massive golden ears hike

a september hike at golden ears park to close off this year’s hiking season. getting lost was basically the adventure of the day. what was suppose to be a sub ten kilometre hike turned into an over twenty-five kilometres. we were quick to comment how well marked the trail was, but somehow we accidentally went off into unmarked territory. we hiked through mosses, climbed over fallen tree stumps and crossed rivers. i was very intrigued by the orange fungi atop the trees, but didn’t dare take any home for i was warned there’s a lot of poisonous mushrooms out there. an hour an a half drive back home and i was exhausted. i definitely got my exercise and step count in today. at the end of it all, what was most important was i made it back in time to clean up for a wedding reception
