day 2288 – traffic nightmare

a traffic nightmare at ironwood intersection after work. some coworkers decided not to wait in line and went to the riverside, others walked to the plaza for dinner. i on the other hand waited in line and was trapped for over forty minutes before i got onto number five road. instead of waiting more at knight bridge, i went straight to the gym to do an upper body workout instead

day 2197 – matching limes

driving was made difficult today when i can’t even do the shoulder check motion. i saw two matching lime green vehicles on the road as i was heading to my chiropractor appointment. it’ll definitely be a rest day after suffering a whiplash. apparently i’m not suppose to workout while experiencing antibiotic side effects. it’ll be a write off and i’ll take the time to catch up and prepare to start my intermittent fasting again

day 2151 – one hundred clicks

the big milestone of shadow’s one hundred thousand kilometres has come quicker than i would have expected. driving is something i do a lot of, for both work and play. i get a lot of mileage just commuting to work, going to games and meeting up with friends. i put shadow’s work ethic to the test and it’s my reliable rock when it comes to taking me on adventures. for that i’m grateful knowing i have a trustworthy companion that works so tirelessly. don’t ever change all that you do

day 2137 – paris local

fifth and last day in paris, and i’m turning into a local. though i didn’t get a chance to bike to the roland garros stadium, i’ll still be happy i finally got a chance to bike in europe. it was rather scary biking on the road, let alone bike along side parisian drivers that know no rules or etiquette. as the boys and i were biking, we witnessed very intense road rage that saw a man get bumped by a car and proceeded by zooming off. it was an interesting experience using the paris velib because we were scurrying to find a docking station every so often so not to get extra charges. nevertheless, we finished our route and came out alive

day 2007 – sunrise drive

crossing oak bridge on my morning drive to work with this beautiful back drop. never easy waking up early on a monday, especially when i didn’t have much of a weekend. i had a hard time this morning even after three snoozes. i was pretty brain dead at work but good thing i was doing sketchup things or else i would most definitely have fallen asleep

day 1734 – triceratops

so much driving back and forth from vancouver and richmond just because i’m part timing in dinotown. after a play where the ball grazed my thumb the wrong way, it started not feeling right. knowing it’ll never be back to normal, i thought it was at least in a borderline functional state. just as i thought my thumb was back as good as it’ll ever be, i start getting doubts. i had to lay off immediately and make sure it doesn’t get worse. if it doesn’t get better, i’ll have to wear my splint again just to play

day 1283 – february snow

the forecast was correct and vancouver indeed got its february snowfall overnight. we were forewarned about the precipitation, but the city did nothing to prepare for this snowfall. there was no signs of salted roads nor trucks shovelling snow. as a result, the road conditions was much worse than it needed to be and more car accidents than there should have been. my hour drive home from richmond back to vancouver was full of skidding
