day 989 – date night

a nice sumptuous dinner and night out in the neighbourhood for reaching our first little milestone together. having connections really does help; hooked ourselves up with some good fusion tapas at torafuku. the restaurant is not located in a prominent area, the decor does not wow anyone with its interior, but eaters are drawn to focus on the flavour and essence of the food. it’s been one heck of a month and i only look forward to all the times we’ll share and all the memories we’ll create

day 988 – doctor blows

going in to see a medical doctor to satisfy my parents’ even though i knew it was going to be a total waste of time, and i couldn’t be more right. started off the week with a 39 high fever, dropped down a degree or two, but suddenly shot back up to 39 and now i even have cold-like symptoms. the doctor told me i don’t have strep throat, something i could have concluded myself. if i wasn’t semi dying, i wouldn’t even think twice about going in at all. what a way to spend my special one monther

day 589 – burrard street

looking skyward up towards the open sky and i can’t possibly miss the banners that hang on the lamp post. seeing that banner really hits me that there’s only a month remaining until the dreaded vancouver sun run. i can’t help but feel unprepared knowing there’s so much to do in so little time. must plug in those headphones, pick up the slack and run the hell out before it’s too late to feel guilty

day 549 – improv show

we made a spontaneous decision to attend the massacre tonight but it was a good hangout option that provided plenty of good laughs. sports theatre never fails to cheer me up even on the darkest days. a well deserving way to end a hardworked saturday and januaryas a whole. improv entertainment was the perfect choice because it didn’t involve drinking or eating out which is something i want to avoid for now
