day 1343 Рatrophy

img_20200203_1514545690558734088762016.jpgwoke up at the sound of my alarm clock thinking i could go to work but broken is what i am. unable to fall asleep with bad neck and shoulder pain. the resultant of slamming the brakes left me with a whiplash and nothing but pain and numbness on my right side. the range was nowhere near good after treatment, but at least i could lift my arm above my head. lots of ibuprofen until the pain of clunky movements and clicking of joints dissipates

day 1319 – reassessed

i got my shoulder reassessed and that explained why my shoulder doesn’t rotate like it should. the numbness and tingling through my arm has worsened the past two years. i’m told if it’s not addressed, it will be very difficult to continue my tennis and dodgeball. through some cupping alternatives, there’s a bit of improvement in my shoulder orientation, but it’ll take a lot more to adapt and remain in its proper place

day 584 – pig out

my competition performance was alright despite the overall standings showing otherwise. i needed to put on bengay three times to pull off a gutsy performance which numbed the pain and got me through my poomsae. but as i sit here at dinner time, i fretful admit i used up all my quota and can no longer stand or sit without pain. now just looking to recover and get better before the next competition. after spending the entire day at competition, it was time to digress and feast. stayed out late chatting it up and didn’t climb into bed until 5am no thanks to daylight savings

day 297 – knee crapped out

once again, back again to find out what’s wrong with my leg. started feeling random discomfort last night which soon turned to numbness and eventually to immobility. little did i know i went through last night’s class running, kicking and jumping with a dislodged knee cap. the time when I turn to physio to rescue my body. he has given me strict orders to stay off it for next two days with no activities and continue to ice regularly until he sees me again
