day 1795 – seven tissues deep

crappy does it when showing up to hockey with the last of my fuel to do everything i could do and still get shat on for one thing i didn’t do. it also doesn’t help that the cherry picking linemate told me i had stopped skating. thanks but no thanks; at least i’m the one up doing forechecks and the one to rush back to finish my backchecks while you wait at the red line for that perfect pass. i got home really bitter and that one thought alone kept me up late at night. it’s one thing to have high expectations, it’s another to be shatting on me for one thing i couldn’t do without gas left in my tank. i’m beyond upset and didn’t feel the need to even react to anymore comments

day 556 – rightful owner

image

after two months delay, the money finally arrived in the hands of the rightful owner. i waited far too long for this paycheck i was afraid my bank account would dry up before i would have any to refill. this is going to save some of my crazy spendings since christmas holidays. paydays are the best, often forget how good it feels to hold the cheque in my hand, or multiple cheques in this case

day 498 – catching up to me

image

when was the last time i had a chance to sit down in front of my computer and do nothing?? or that i wasn’t out running around doing stuff and taking care of business?? i don’t ever recalling a particular night like that for the past three months. i am running out of gas, and fatigue is really catching up to me. glad to see that a few things will be off my plate very soon so i may get some much needed personal time and space

day 442 – big bullies

image

was happily minding my own business and rolling out the tightness before practice begins and this is what i get from a group of monkeys. this bunch of big bullies took this opportunity taking selfies while trying to harass and beat me up while i am down with messed up knees. two days and counting until we hit the road but still practicing even if i was on one leg because it’s now or never

day 144 – first run of the season

image

at cypress ready for the first time this season. drizzles with few runs open and icy slopes isn’t good skiing condition but the great company i had made all the difference. waking up early morning for skiing coupled by previous late night does not leave me with much left in the tank for a good showing at taekwondo training. disappointing showing and bad effort at training is hard to swallow and should not let that happen again. finished off the night with some alcohol to ease my soul
