day 1075 – richmond night market

image

hard earned time with mo after a long sunday full of taekwondo, with a workout sandwiched between teaching¬† and demo rehearsal. we enjoyed the last of our weekend at richmond night market and the company of each other. there was nothing worth buying, there rarely is at the night market, but it’s still fun strolling down the aisles. it was unexpectedly crowded; we decided to purchase the zoom pass to avoid the long lineup at the entrance

day 1030 – tsutenkaku tower

so far i’ve spent as much time shopping in osaka as i have sightseeing. there’s a lot more shopping available, but my wallet, legs and suitcase has its limitations. i had my first taste of sushi in japan for lunch; i pick my own dishes off a rotating belt. shinsekai is very similar to richmond night market where it’s predominantly street food. i didn’t end up getting any skewers or fried foods there, but i indulged in a matcha waffle cone

day 326 – night market

what’s summer without going to richmond night market. not that i have any interest in buying things there but the food section full of junk food is certainly attractive.it’s a good chilling place if you ever have a couple hours to kill in the evenings. i would visit more often if there wasn’t admission fees. we’ve had some exceptional weather this weekend, hope it will last for a while

day 22 – ignited android

my portable android speakers that i got from hong kong night market looks so evil with the red glowing eyes while in recharging mode. i have always wanted to know what the android figure is meant to be, but i guess i will never find out. i will just continue to assume its a little green alien
