day 2191 – free friday

the day after making personal records deserves a bit of a rest. i still went to flightclub because i wanted to flip, but taking it easy on the training as my body works to recover. i let my body decide what it can do and didn’t push to do too much on the floor. i still did some x-out practice and ninja landing onto the blue mat. the rest of the evening was a chill one. even though i don’t have much planned, i was just glad to get the bc day long weekend started

day 2143 – short day

it was an unexpectedly short saturday compared to any of my normal. i woke up for a chiropractor appointment, taught taekwondo classes, had dinner with parents and passed out before 9pm. i couldn’t even stay awake sitting, so i had to bail on hockey last minute which i felt really bad about. i guess the combination of jetlag, crazy late friday night, early saturday morning and a tiring solo teaching shift got the best of me

say 2109 – ankle update

inflammation and infection seems to have gone down but it’s a no go for hockey. i jammed my foot and ankle pretty bad at the tail end of training yesterday, which makes me believe i am in dire need for the ultrasound or mri. it frustrates me because the fact i actually got my foot around on my butterfly twist attempt was also the cause of the jam. i was hoping i would get in earlier from cancelations, but doesn’t look like i’ll get my results before i leave for my trip

day 2095 – xingfu tea

i didn’t do what i wanted to do this morning – have my xrays taken. it would have been a killer to wake up at 8am after a late night for walk in clinic. one thing i did do was stop at the newest bubble tea shop after our civil war game. i ordered their speciality brown sugar pearl with milk tea. it tasted good, but nothing crazy enough for me to line up for. in fact, i probably would prefer something else because it was too sweet for my normal liking. drinks aside, i just like to hang out with this bunch after games

day 2051 – setup

i think i need to take it easy for a while to heal up all my injured body parts. i need find things to work on that doesn’t require punching on take offs or hard landings. at this rate it will be so difficult for my ankles and wrist to recover. i’m glad that both my winter hockey seasons are over with and have a couple weeks before my spring season sports start up. for the time being, it’s just dodgeball. this is also the time to really gear down and eat properly, something that’s been going really bad

day 1970 – girls potluck

my christmas holiday officially started for me which means no work, much needed rest and endless eating. an afternoon potluck party with ex and current company girls. i brought homemade turkey pies to the table to add to the sushi platter, air fried wings, homemade cookies and safeway cheesecake. besides eating, the next couple hours was spent watching some chrome cast and getting the down low on things that went wrong. good times and good laughs with the girls

day 1958 – morning work days

back to work on early monday morning not feeling rest at all as i’m still fighting a nagging cold and cough. i can’t even buy sleep when i’m waking up at 2am and 4am everyday. it’s a never ending cycle of cough affecting my sleep pattern and the inability to sleep affecting the cold recovery. i keep finding reasons not go to into my family doctor’s office. it’s probably a waste of time since she doesn’t really solve my problems
