day 1608 – office props

this workstation of mine is filled with recovery props and drugs. my headache erratic and unpredictable; it seems to get better and worse whenever it wants. at it’s worst, my head feels like it’s being compressed and there’s no enough oxygen the flows through. my immune system may already be used to the constant supply of tylenols. i tried really hard to work through it, but there’s a point that i thought i should go home instead of suffering through this at work. i probably shouldn’t have taken on tutor after work and get more rest as needed, but i don’t like canceling last minute

day 1501 – bone buldge

the bruising on this left foot is looking worse than hours before. i couldn’t put on skates today but that wouldn’t have mattered anyway as i’m way too sore from too much activities yesterday. maximal soreness results in minimal movements; my back ached, my calves tight, my hip flexor restricting, my foot and shin bruised and my si joint problems still persist. the soreness isn’t a big issue, it’s the persisting joint pain and abnormal bruising that worries me

day 1494 – priority list 

fitbit shows me i need to put myself higher on the priority list and sleep a little more. sadly the amount i worked this week doubled the amount of sleep i got. i never really got a break and the start of another work week is in just a few hours away. i’m not looking forward to next week working all seven days. i am not always guaranteed a weekend, but at least this week i still have sunday off as a small breather

day 1434 – laying low

the work hours crept by so slowly but at least i was trying to work. at times i still felt dizzy with headache and wished that it wasn’t only wednesday. multiple body parts are wrecked and needs more rest than i will ever give it. surprisingly able to pry myself away from the gym and even decided against dodgeball. instead i spent the evening doing some overdue tedious calculations, paperwork and catchup

day 1315 – roost

the morning wasn’t so bad as i worked through the fatigue to get my conference call done. it only hit me when the caffeine wore off and i clearly suffered from the afternoon crash. i went straight home and took a nap to make up some sleep. woke up but couldn’t work so i took some medicine, mulled around and went to sleep again. that’s what four hours of sleep will do. things just doesn’t slow down even after competition travels

 

day 1293 – seminar sequel

it was a good two day seminar held by grandmaster lee. i learned a lot of theory and technical things i wouldn’t otherwise have in regular classes. with his in depth explanation and new found knowledge, i now see poomsae in a different light. while i spend my three-day long weekend at taekwondo, i never got any restful time off. my mind wants to sleep but leg cramps are preventing me from sleeping. calling it an early day to get take on another week head on

day 1238 – physio fix

i needed this physio visit badly enough to call for an emergency appointment. my chest and back was feeling slightly improved upon waking up but still much too impaired. when physio pressed against my ribs and collar bone, i was in a lot of discomfort and couldn’t grasp for air. i know i still need more rest; i’ll take it day by day and feel optimistic that this will get better soon. for all the years he’s treated me, he still shakes his head at me and occasionally scolds me, but is never surprised with what kind of injuries i put up with
