being an avid basketball fan all these years, i’ve seen everything from the highlights to low-lights of nations basketball. none have been more fulfilling than watching the toronto raptors win the nba title. it’s an interesting feeling watching my two favourite teams going at it in the playoff finals. it was just amazing to watch the calibre of play. this season’s raptors left everything on the floor and found a way to take out the splash brother’s enroute to their well deserved championship
forget about training today, i am sitting back to enjoy game 5 basketball finals. after a disappointing game 4, i still believe it is golden state’s series to win especially because i do not want lebron to win. no denying he’s a good player, but i don’t like his cockyness. it’s been a close series and an interesting one nonetheless. at least they didn’t disappoint today and hopefully they close it off on tuesday so i can witness it
catching a raptors playoff win while enjoying good eats and sharing quality moments with fellow hamberite. can’t stop staring at the amazingly ginormous original joe’s fish and chips. we obviously ordered way too much food for just the two of us and the worst is we both failed to take the leftover packed food on our way out. at least the raptors series all tied up heading to brooklyn
extremely happy to hear former raptors morris peterson was inducted into michigan state university hall of fame, and deservingly so. he was not the biggest superstar by all means, but he doesn’t have to be in order to be a player i enjoyed watching. here’s my hamber grad locker plate kept in mint condition and continues to hang on my room door to this day
growing up watching raptors basketball, mopete was amongst my favourite nba players. i admired the way he played the game no matter what the score dictated, how he treated his teammates on and off the court, and never let his fans down each and every game with his ironman streak. be remembered for everything plus the amazing number of 3 pointers, circus shots made and not to mention buzzer beaters. he was truly an inspiration and no doubt deserves this michigan hall of fame status.
