day 844 – want you back

image

the sun may be out but it’s the coldest day thus far. for the first time this season the thermometer in my car dropped below zero. am i ever missing summer and the warmth the sun provides. we are only two months removed from the best season for water activities, i am already missing it dearly. times when i don’t need to wear sweaters outside and still freeze within a matter of seconds.  times when i don’t have to bring an umbrella and still be soaked after walking a block

day 354 – rain at wwtd

mother nature obviously shows no love for walk with the dragon. was hit by a big heat wave last year and massive down pour the year before. so glad one of our major annual demo event is finally over and things slow down a little before competition season picks up again. my own part of the performance was far from good in my standards, could have and should have been much better. it’s been a long and steep recovery road the past eight weeks and a grind cramming in practices prematurely. this was the ultimate test for my knee but very content it passed the test and is finally rounding into form. i can’t complain

day 296 – meteor

image

i just happen to be in the vicinity of richmond district tonight so we made a last minute decision to hang around iona beach in hopes of catching some meteor. unfortunately because of our spontaneous decision, we weren’t prepared for the cold so didn’t manage to stay long enough to catch any. next time we shall be more equipped and well prepared to stay longer and maybe even a dslr to go along with it

day 163 – pouring

image

really wished i was in big white skiing, enjoying the snow and partying, but instead i am stuck in vancouver where it’s pouring nonstop.  it’s depressing knowing the weather forecasts doesn’t get any better throughout the weekend. although i do understand its not recommended i risk blacking out again up on the mountain top
