day 2360 – deadlift knowledge

morning gym session to get my leg day in as well as help a friend out with hers. having a gym partner can be motivating and fun at the same time. i certainly did not mind teaching and sharing my fitness knowledge with whose who are eager and willing to learn. we hit it hard with the squats, deadlifts and leg press before moving onto back exercises and then finished with some superset core exercises. i have plenty of fitness goals i want to hit this year, and at the same time i hope i can also help her reach hers

day 2250 – morning struggles

i’ve never been a morning person and i don’t know if i’ll ever be converted. waking up at 6am is always so hard, especially if i don’t climb into bed before 1am. trying to stay afloat with coffee and egg bites this morning morning. i won’t even get a chance to take a power nap before flipping tonight but i’ll do whatever i can. it’s crazy how september has flown by and we’re on the thirtieth of the month

day 2195 – walk in clinic

as much as i didn’t want to go back to work after a long weekend, i was less happy to be spending three and a half hours at a walk in clinic waiting for both the doctor and pharmacy. the mosquito bite flared up so bad overnight i didn’t get any sleep. i got up in the middle of the night to apply and reapply the hydrocortisone. when i woke up, my leg was so red and swelled up it no longer looked like a leg. the doctor prescribed the same antibiotics as last time. i guess that’s what i get for not finishing it last time

day 2173 – quote board

starting monday morning off with a new motivation quote hopefully to set my week off right. both my managers are back from vacation, so things should pick up pretty quickly. since i didn’t have a restful weekend, i was feeling pretty exhausted from the get go. my head hurt and my back ached. still, i must continue because the new marketing coordinator just started today

day 2079 – private gym

hitting up friend’s private gym just so i could get some quiet time away from people. it’s been a rather draining week at work when i got a few curve balls at the end of last week. i got all my renderings done one day before the deadline. the stress not only made me sleep deprived, but also caused extreme lows for my blood pressure and i almost fainted in the morning. still, i wanted to hit the gym and do my deadlifts and pullups. the weight felt super heavy, but at least i got it done

day 1862 – knee dimple

while on the ground rolling, i can’t help but notice a dimpled spot in my knee. it’s a short work week, but i’ve been more fatigue waking up every morning as the week wears on. what i really need is a vacation or some personal time off away from work. i must be really burnt out from not taking a vacation all year long. continuing the grind no matter what part of the week it is

day 1756 – japanese kitkat

coworker came back from japan trip with goodies to share. of the many flavors she brought back, i chose the matcha and sake. of the many kitkat flavors i’ve ever tried, matcha is still my favourite. a headache made me feel crappy this morning, i didn’t think i’d stay at the office the whole day. popping a few advils seemed to have helped me head and got me through the rest of it. calling it an earlier day and hopeful it gets better by tomorrow
