day 2173 – quote board

starting monday morning off with a new motivation quote hopefully to set my week off right. both my managers are back from vacation, so things should pick up pretty quickly. since i didn’t have a restful weekend, i was feeling pretty exhausted from the get go. my head hurt and my back ached. still, i must continue because the new marketing coordinator just started today

day 2062 – roundoff backtuck

precisely my reaction after landing my roundoff backtuck on flightclub floor. it most definitely lifted a lot of poundage off my shoulders. i was really close in february, but ended up jamming my ankle that started all my ankle woes. since then, my roundoff was never the same because my body would subconsciously protect it. that didn’t change the fact that i kept pushing it which really punished my ankles. i’m so happy that i finally landed my first. it was worth the wait because landing a solid one today is much better than a marginal one a month ago. stringing up a strong finish to march landing this and improving the consistency of my standing backtucks

day 2000 – flip flops

it was one of those few flip sessions where my flips felt pretty strong. signs of improvement in my back tuck where i landed some solid ones both spotted and unspotted. cart front off the air track felt pretty good; good enough i even gave front twist a few tries. randomly revisited websters and for the first time, landed on my feet in the red. i think i have what it takes to land them, but i do know it’s a lack of confidence, which was also pointed out. i’m really aiming to hit something in january. there’s a few things on the top of my list: roundoff back tuck, gainer, moon kick, flash kick, and websters are amongst my top

day 1944 – jetlagging

first day back in town and already back at work. trying to keep myself busy to lie to myself i’m not jetlaged. that only worked for an hour as i’m already lagging two hours in. most of my day was a whirlwind, but my main focus to catch up on the seventy odd emails in my inbox. i still grind it through to the end of work day and went for flipping. went out for dinner after an extended session because i really missed flipping and the people there

day 1519 – gym needs

headache at work got pretty bad again to the point where i didn’t seem useful and should just go home. but i stayed and kept thinking the tylenol will kick in soon enough. i was only looking forward to going to the gym, and stubborn enough even if i were to collapse during. i really wanted to since i haven’t made up for the missed monday and i wasn’t about to do another shuffle nor write off this week

day 825 – stupid train

i swear i was stuck here for ten plus minutes waiting for this long ass train to cross. quite possibly one of the most boring ten minutes of my life watching it slowly make its way from right to left but there’s nothing i could do about it. at some point i got so impatient i put my car into park and even tempted to turn off my engine. at least i had a very active and fun filled night with gym followed by a solid hour and a half of dodgeball. that’s two straight days being physically active but i am expecting to be mighty sore tomorrow
