day 2196 – cephalexin

i’m hit by the side effects of the prescribed drugs. my cognitive skills are compromised and it’s certainly making me feel weak, fatigued and slightly drowsy. also signs of dizziness and nausea kicked in first thing in the morning. part of me thinks that the dosage of four pills per day is too high, but who am i to judge. i just have to worry about finishing what’s in the bottle unlike last time

day 2195 – walk in clinic

as much as i didn’t want to go back to work after a long weekend, i was less happy to be spending three and a half hours at a walk in clinic waiting for both the doctor and pharmacy. the mosquito bite flared up so bad overnight i didn’t get any sleep. i got up in the middle of the night to apply and reapply the hydrocortisone. when i woke up, my leg was so red and swelled up it no longer looked like a leg. the doctor prescribed the same antibiotics as last time. i guess that’s what i get for not finishing it last time

day 1651 – amoxicillin

the toothache got so unbearable it ruined my mood for any kind of gym time and i ended up at the dentist office. the antibiotics was meant to be a temporary fix for some kind of infection and if it doesn’t get better, it has to be reopened. guess i’ll look forward to tomorrow to makeup my heavy leg day. this better not persist and make me miss another workout day cause i’m already really upset to have postponed it on back to back days. the upside is this is another forced rest day which also forces me to sleep early

day 1607 – meds mishmash

a day after the procedure has me hooked on all types of medicine and drops. so many painkillers and eye drops prescribed i can’t keep track on which one is which and all seems to be the same. the limited screen time forces me to sleep and rest to make up for all the times that i don’t get enough. truth is, since the surgery, i’ve had more than all of december combined. truth is, this is probably the only time i’ll ever get enough sleep and the life gets back on a grind. this holiday season will start off slow but i’ve stacked my schedule for new years so the best has yet to come

day 1315 – roost

the morning wasn’t so bad as i worked through the fatigue to get my conference call done. it only hit me when the caffeine wore off and i clearly suffered from the afternoon crash. i went straight home and took a nap to make up some sleep. woke up but couldn’t work so i took some medicine, mulled around and went to sleep again. that’s what four hours of sleep will do. things just doesn’t slow down even after competition travels

day 89 – feel like crap

when the bad comes, it seems to come all at once. on top of compensating for my ailing knee, i am now mute and sick, all occurred and fallen apart in consecutive days. drinking some nasty benylin, calling it a night and hoping things will feel a lot better when i open my eyes tomorrow morning
