day 2529 – yellow plates

officially made it to the yellow plates snatch club. although i snatched one hundred pounds at nash back in december, it wasn’t in the apex record books. what was suppose to be a casual snatch wave day turned into matching my personal record. i should’ve had it on the first attempt, but i give up too early and didn’t even bother trying to stand up. it’s one thing to still be able to olympic lift with my fractured finger, but it’s another thing to match the numbers while still feeling good. i think all those garage strength sessions are paying off

day 1809 – home decor

after hearing their countless trips to furniture stores all over lower mainland, glad my parents settled on a dining table they actually liked. they’re picky with how it looks and how it matches our house. i’d like to say i played a small role in the selection process. it matches the new kitchen cabinets we installed last year. the home improvement just keeps on coming; i wonder what is next on my parent’s list

day 1166 – bars and boxes

DSC_2974something made me feel pretty good as i was left the gym today. maybe because my first attempts at box jumps in over a month turned out really well. i thought i’d try some easy ones just to reintroduce it to my body, but ended up matching my normal height. it wasn’t that i was pain free, but the fact the pain didn’t escalate is something i’ll gladly take. i can honestly say through the past two weeks i’ve been painstakingly patient. i hope it pays off and treats me well with recovery

day 397 – much needed restringing

it was not raining just like the forecast promised, so was out doing some light hitting because i was getting major tennis withdrawal. playing with great deal of caution knowing my movements are very limited and knee is nowhere near fine but make do with current condition. making a last push for this summer before the tennis season is gone and desperately needing some new strings and if next weekend is sunny, guess where i can be found
