day 2414 – shadow maintenance

bringing shadow into bmw for its last annual car service under my ownership. it was another expensive service, but that’s nothing new with beemers. the exterior is looking sharp and sparkling clean, but i still need to give the interior a wipe down this weekend before i show it to potential owners. i hope to find a good owner who will take good care of it. i’m really looking forward to receiving an upgraded car that i’ve already put a lot of money down

day 2403 – rooftop view

while it wasn’t raining, my dad and i climbed up to the rooftop to put a mesh on the chimney. hopefully this puts an end to the woodpeckers making all these annoying sounds all day long. i’ve never seem my street from three storeys up. it was fun and scary at the same time, not because i was scared of heights, but i was more concerned for my dad who sometimes overestimates his abilities. it’s amazing he can still climb and do all these dangerous things but i really wished he didn’t

day 2365 – sunroof motor

i got a courtesy car from my autobody shop so they could fix both my hit and run, and the malfunctioning sunroof. the mechanic took my sunroof apart and found that my motor had snapped. i’m hoping they can source out a second hand motor so it would cost me over a grand. in the meantime, i’m driving a downgraded corolla around which feels way different than shadow

day 1793 – roller and flosser

the fact my body is badly bruised front and back is enough reason not to partake the after-work bootcamp. the excessive overworked body is sore from hip flexor, to hamstring, to calves, to traps, to shoulders, to lats. hence, i spent much time on the floor releasing myself. i did a pre-game roll on my softball and a post-game roll on foam roller and pvc pipe. since that wasn’t enough, i went one step further and did some flossing

day 1707 – autowest servicing

img_20200130_2219327078010715597612778.jpgthe few downsides to driving expensive cars is the hefty expenses it comes with. took my beemer into autowest for my annual service which cost nearly a grand to do. it’s due for some bigger maintenance including spark plugs, brake fluid, oil change and fifty five point inspection. that’s quite a lot to service but no complaints on the service and shuttle pickups provided. my shadow left the dealership sparkling clean and ready to rock and roll

day 1623 – fully discharged

i’ve waited long and hard, to hear surgeon’s very words, i will discharge you from my hand clinic, congratulations. that was further confirmed at my physio appointment who also said i’m cleared for sports with no restrictions barring any pain. on top of that, he who rarely compliments me did so for i maintained my alignment since he last adjusted me. the usual hardwork with the kinesiologist who not only worked me hard on the rehab exercises, but also gave me extras stuff i never even thought was possible out of me. he’s one of the biggest reason i’ve improved so much through the years and i’m gratified he’s given me all these challenges. the back to back appointments couldn’t have tasted any sweeter as i left both clinics beyond elated to hear that i came out triumphant. i will be able to sleep well tonight

day 1441 – autowest

img_20200203_1344219016386932400635767.jpgi brought my german toy into annual maintenance for oil change. upon sitting down with the service advisor, he advised a few more parts to be upgraded or will soon need to be replaced, each item ranging from a couple hundred bucks to seven hundred. i’ll wait on those and in the meantime consult other technicians for professional opinion before making any decisions
