day 1262 – tofu fanatic

the whole family gathered to celebrate my dad’s birthday. there were many dishes on the table just like any typical chinese seafood restaurant, but this was by far my favourite dish. i enjoyed a good sit down meal with my family, we haven’t had much opportunity to engage like tonight. thankful i made it to friday. this week has been brutal as i had wavering moments and tons on my mind. it’s not resolved, but i’m holding it together

day 1168 – nailed it

i felt good when i tested my back two days ago, so i’m going for more. i said i wanted to be back in the one plate club so i went and got it – without extra pain. i had to scale my activities and exercises down considerably for two months and was shut down from almost everything for the past three weeks, but i think i finally see the light again. i’m stoked to get back into the thick of things, but i’ll still take it step by step. also very pleased that my midterm was extremely well done, although there’s one mark i shouldn’t have lost

day 898 – meet or meat

today is not just any friday, it’s a fries day lunch date. i am a first timer at this restaurant and lots on their menu sounded really good. i stuck with the mountain burger today, but next time i definitely want to try all their other items. it was a good time with good company, good laughs and good chats. this was a treat meal and a celebratory one for making it through the week, making it past all the stresses, and making it to the deadline even though i had to sleep at 3am to finish. hopefully i get some much needed and deserved sleep tonight

day 846 – coffee call

i succumbed to having caffeine so here i am sitting at starbucks with my coffee in one hand while my laptop is propped in front of me. trying to be productive at the coffee shop before heading to training and dodgeball. i don’t know what exactly turned my body on, but i definitely went into it with an extra boost of energy. being able to crank out five sets of deadlifts is a hefty number. i do expect my back to feel very sorry for all that i managed to crank out today. my fitbit line is amazing and i feel great with the numbers i made today. just praying that dehydration wouldn’t play a huge factor and cause multiple calf cramps that prevents me from sleeping

day 804 – numbers matter

based on the numbers and the green bars all around, i would say thanksgiving monday was a very successful day. it was a slow start to the day being wet and rainy, but still logged a lot of activity before the day’s end. it’s a good thing i forced myself to get off my ass, otherwise i would feel like it was a pretty crappy and unfulfilling weekend no thanks to too much eating and not enough exercise

day 754 – conquered chief

posing at peak two cause i am asian. all hiked out and legs ready to give in after completing a tiring three peak hike that took just over five hours. it was endless climbing of a natural stair master of over two hundred flights of stairs but in the end the breathtaking view made it all worthwhile. second peak stood out for me because the obstacles and the awesome view really capped it off. it was like parkour, i always knew had a little spiderman in me
