day 1919 – laid back

a laid back thursday of just work and work. though i say laid back, it’s still a eleven hour work day for me. i was pretty brain dead by the time tutor came around and wished i could forgo that i take a nap instead. i went to tutor as usual because i felt committed and owed it to the students. today was all about math because both sisters had a math test coming up

day 1914 – courtside mastercup

it’s showtime for my students who’s going to compete in this year’s master cup. to all those stepping on the mat at provincial stage, i’m proud of all of them to have the courage to compete. to all my competitors, i’m happy to see the improvements in each and every one of you. this is the first time friends outside of taekwondo world came out and it was quite fun. the freestyle poomsaes is what i had to stay for, even if it meant i would be late for teaching. i’m super exhausted after the long day of coaching and teaching. i cleaned up to pass out before ten thirty

day 1572 – promotion test

after calling out the test for one hundred and thirty students, i get some well deserved mat time. it was insane for me to lead every individual group from white to red belt, more talking than i would do in a whole week. it was more oa test for me than the students as fifties and sixties is the normal range. i don’t think i’ll survive another one of these tests alone so another instructor better step up soon. got home after some window shopping and a long promotion test in time to have my first meal of the day just shy of nine o’clock

day 1438 Р renovation complete 

it’s been a physically taxing day even compared to my typical saturday. put my muscles to good use early morning to move the fridge and the wall cabinets. a hectic five hour taekwondo shift of nonstop teaching without a water or washroom break. i felt depleted for the first hockey game and couldn’t get my mind nor my legs in the game. just as i thought i had no more gas in the tank for round two, i pulled through and managed to play some proper hockey. when i got off the ice, i then realized so many body parts are hurting

day 1304 Рcrummy friday 

it doesn’t take much time make me feel crummy – just a sleeplessness night and some unjust comments. i couldn’t stop thinking about it and how it made me more uncomfortable. what’s also uncomfortable is my hip, glute and now my quad from the bench fall. somehow i’ll have to get through this thirteen hour work day in a fifteen hour span. i can only convince myself it’s good to be friday although i’ll spend my weekend at taekwondo too

day 1302 – skinny latte

day three and i can walk without pain but the bigger question is can i kick, can i play, can i still compete?? there’s progress every day but my leg is still bothering me and stopping me from doing fun things. i’m not going to lie, but i was on the fence with skipping class. in the end i chose to go to school to be a good student and tried to be productive. caffeine intake was necessary so i can get through school

day 1273 – no contacts day

another morning of no contacts because my eyes looked a little bloodshot. i had a productive day; another nonstop day of working at the office, working at the library and working at home. i’m just glad to be finished my site plan and section before 10pm so i can finally get adequate amount of sleep. getting some rest would be more than welcome so i will last the day with school
