day 2144 – father’s and mother’s

combining father’s day and mother’s day dinner into one this year because my parents and i have taken turns going on vacation. we went for the typical chinese seafood restaurant at fraser court. we wanted to try a place we don’t normally go to, but it’s safe to say we won’t be back for a while. it was a very laid back kind of sunday where i didn’t have to wake up for anything so i slept in until noon. i guess i’m still making up sleep from the vacation days where it was always go go go

day 2088 – sechelt sloth

this getaway was meant to be everything but jam-packed and hectic. some of us just wanted to spend the afternoon relaxing on the balcony to soak in the long lost vitamin d. we laid on the balcony for hours chatting and joking our way through the day. it was good to have some team bonding time away from the rink. we definitely had a good laugh with the many jokes made and shots fired. this is a big change for me because i would never have down time like this back home. for this reason, i will take every opportunity this weekend to be the biggest sloth i can be

day 1919 – laid back

a laid back thursday of just work and work. though i say laid back, it’s still a eleven hour work day for me. i was pretty brain dead by the time tutor came around and wished i could forgo that i take a nap instead. i went to tutor as usual because i felt committed and owed it to the students. today was all about math because both sisters had a math test coming up

day 1796 Рoh canada

a different canada day unlike any previous years where i had to host a taekwondo competition. this is the most laid back canada day i can remember, spent it helping my parents with some cleaning up and recycling old junk. the nagging headaches is really not going away, and making me feel uninterested even in my most favourite things. the long weekend continues with a nice dinner out at kishimoto before checking out a free concert. even though it was rainy and slightly cold, the swanguard stadium festivities and fireworks turned out well

day 1641 – party cabin

after a pretty intense first night at the party cabin, the second day at baker was laid back one. woke up to have brunch, did grocery shopping, picked up parcels, sat in the hot tub and chilled around the cabin. the dinner of the century cook-off turned out with great success. the shot that we had while cooking hit me pretty hard since i hadn’t eaten since breakfast. my cabin baked salmon, stuffed mushrooms and mixed a fruit kale salad. my favourite by far was the salmon seaweed tartar with our baked salmon coming in second. it was only tame before the party started up again after dinner. i’m pooped and slightly buzzed after the party and couldn’t wait to pass out in my bunk while the drink fest started rounding up at 4am

good to have a sunny december sunday, although i hear the snow will start to fall overnight. i can call it a laid back sunday; morning spent cramming away to meet deadlines, afternoon watching and hanging out, finished off with an evening of more cramming. once i get this term over with, i can enjoy my break and christmas season, not to mention catch up on the many episodes i’ve missed

day 1123 – going natural

second day of adventures at harrison was a laid back one. i don’t think my body understands the concept of sleeping in, i naturally woke up at 8am without the help of an alarm. we hit up the driving range and explored bridal falls before taking full advantage of the resort facilities two days in a row, dipping in the hot springs and doing some laps in the pool. been a relaxing trip so far, hopefully it’ll be what i need to recharge me when I return
