day 1702 – kpc

late into the office because i had to go in for another regular physio checkup. what was suppose to be just stretching became rolling, and from rolling it became dynamic exercises. it seems i’m always doing exercise like i’m in circus school. as usual he went through my standard list of ankle, hip, back, neck, shoulder and thumb, and then more. i had no idea my knee cap was out of alignment, again. my knee cap has been stable in the recent months but clearly needed a little attention today. fun fact is i’ve been a part of my physio clinics existence for fourteen of the twenty years.

day 1505 – physio revisited 

getting my hand checked out gives everyone a peace of mind, but knowing it’s more serious than i thought isn’t what i wanted. he was not surprised of another new injury plus my preexisting list of injured body parts. to my physio’s dismay, he told me not one, not two, but three tendons were sprained. i guess the pain i felt was real but forcing it very hard wishfully thinking the pain isn’t real. having high pain tolerance is good but it does come back to bite me. also got my knee and hip adjusted as per usual and wasn’t expecting my knee cap to be out as well. aside from my knee, he was quite happy with the shape i was in

day 1316 – rest and roll

took a full day off work and school to stay home and rest because my poor body is overstressed from all the strenuous events and travels. of course i should have dragged my butt into the clinic to get fixed because i can feel my kneecap not being in its place. being me, i once again postponed my physio appointment and instead stayed home to roll out some muscle tightness

day 995 – therapeutics

my morning physio to get my head and neck fixed turns out to be remedial for both my knees as well. lots of damage was done during rdl playoffs because somehow both my knee caps were messed up. no surprise physio was angry with my head injury; i can’t blame him. but it doesn’t change the fact of that what’s done is done, nor does it change the way i would have handled it. i’ll just focus on resting up and hoping for speedy recovery so i can continue to grind

day 618 – k tape

doing some expensive tape testing over this weekend to make sure this pricey spider tech k tape works the way it should. if it’s optimal, might be the choice i take for day of the sun run and competition next month. not my best tape job since i am still relatively rusty with this delicate tape, but the more reason to do a test. must say the blue really matches well with my neon yellow shorts

day 482 – adjustment time

my legs took a ton of beating and bruising lately including a bad knee collision a few days ago. instantly knew it was out but was still able to carry out my regular exercises the next little while without over compensating so i had hoped it wasn’t as bad as i initially thought. went in to check it out and my physio confirmed that my gut feeling was correct. getting both my knee cap popped back in place and wrist taken care of was painful as ever, but it had to be done. he gave me the hardest task possible and threatened i musnt make my knee cap out of place again. i will continue my long mission to search for ways to protect my knees keep them from shifting

day 442 – big bullies

was happily minding my own business and rolling out the tightness before practice begins and this is what i get from a group of monkeys. this bunch of big bullies took this opportunity taking selfies while trying to harass and beat me up while i am down with messed up knees. two days and counting until we hit the road but still practicing even if i was on one leg because it’s now or never
