day 2204 – pause snatch

it feels weird to be ay apex on thursday instead of tuesday, but it’s better to give my back and neck more time. to be honest, both were still so stiff and tender than i didn’t think i could snatch. week one of tech week working on pause snatch and front squat on the minute style. it felt pleasantly strong and worked up to thirty eight kilogram pause snatch complex. it was a busy day – i had three back to back activities today, all half an hour apart. after olympic lifting session, was softball playoffs round robin and massage appointment. needless to say i didn’t get home to eat dinner until 9:46pm, and at that point i had fourteen minutes left to eat before my window closed

day 2203 – shaved ice

being done with the never ending bottle of antibiotics is something to celebrate for. so i celebrated no more dealing with side effects by training a little more than the past days. although my neck and back from the whiplash is still noticeable, i still insisted on building my back tucks back onto the floor without a spot. after training, the crew had the urge to get shaved ice so i got a chance to try snowy village for the first time. this is bad for my eating plan, but at least i shared it with two others

day 2199 – sushi satisfaction

had japanese food two days in a row but i don’t mind it one bit. still going strong with the intermittent fast as long as i keep dinner to a reasonable time. had an appointment in the morning to fix some ailing problems. then a fun taekwondo shift today even though we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. it’s getting close to that time again for both the colour belt and blackbelt testing. this time i’m don’t feel as rushed and stressed preparing the students that should be taking it

day 2024 – sushi sushi

a japanese dinner doesn’t sound like a bad idea. although i didn’t get to go to the restaurant of my choice, i still got some delightful rolls and aburi sushi. my eating as a whole hasn’t been good for the last while due to stress and binge eating. i’ll clean up my eating after today and the long weekend. but for now i’ll eat my share and get some of my system

day 2008 – intermitting

mid morning grapes is rewarding during my intermittent fasting phase. i’m usually immune to being hangry, though i can’t control being hungry. i’m doing this is to cut down after the holiday season to improve my sports performance as well as to reach my overarching fitness goals. i want to up my game to help with hockey, taekwondo, flips and tricks and dodgeball. also, part of it is just to change up my diet and get it back on track

day 1677 – jagrbombers


it’s time for the first round of round robin game of vachl playoffs. although it was an overtime loss, playing the jagrbombs is always something to look forward to. post game boston pizza was quite the cheat meal though the beauty of intermittent fasting is i can have them without too much guilt since i haven’t eaten anything all day aside from a banana. sharing an order of chicken salad balanced out the pizza i had. unfortunately couldn’t avoid the team shots of bazooka joe and jagrbomb, and the few other mysterious drinks i had after that. some shots are mandatory; i’ll just do a better job at avoiding them whenever possible

day 1659 – noodle soup

fourth day going strong on my intermittent fasting and pushing through even at the toughest hours. tracking the calories will always be something i do, but i find i’m enjoying my food much more knowing i can eat in my window. i was craving noodles yesterday but boss got us booster juice by default. still got the feeling for noodles today so went and got my tomato papaya with coworkers. it’s an odd group made of four different departments, but the connection between us has really bolstered lately
