day 2150 – tsujiri cravings

it was a not so productive first grass session for myself. i didn’t feel like i could do anything properly as both my ankles are going haywire. though i wish i could do more and get some good training in, it was a fun grass session nonetheless. i still got to toss frisbees, softballs and footballs around. a bunch of us hit up tsujiri to satisfy our matcha cravings. i love matcha soft serve and i don’t think that’s a secret

day 2039 – full size mcflurry

this will be the last mcflurry amongst all sugary treats as i’ll be doing a low sugar for the month of march. that means no more bubble teas, cookies, chocolate, ice cream, dessert and many other things that has added artificial sweeteners. i’ve eaten so poorly the last while i really should be ashamed. the laziness is unacceptable to my standards so it’s now time to clean it up and get fit again. i’m sure the transition is the hardest part, but i must stick with it. i’m excited to see what the results will be

day 1936 – lamma island

meeting up with another long time friend and teammate for a day trip to lamma island. it’s my first time on this island so we decided to do a hike and eat a lot of fresh seafood. it was a hot day so i couldn’t keep my long sleeve on as much as i wanted to protect myself from mosquitoes. after lamma island, we took the ferry back and hit up tsimshatsui. that wasn’t a very wise choice because it’s one of the most crowded places on a weekend evening. i must mention part of the reason is hit up via tokyo for some matcha ice cream

day 1860 – netflix cooking

being labour day, there wasn’t much to do on this statutory holiday. i’m all hiked out this weekend, so decided against going out and was perfectly fine staying indoors. a home cooked montreal steak and beet salad paired with two netflix movies. we watched guardians of the galaxy 2 and coco. both movies were good, but coco stood out more, i guess there was less hype leading up to this. finished off the movie binging night with a vanilla caramel drumstick

day 1802 – drink the pink


its an activities overload kind of day and there wasn’t much of a meal at all. lunch was banana pancakes, pregame was banana pancakes, between games was snack wrap and post game was e-noodle and ice cream. my legs gave were long dead my jdp game was over but still must play my heart out for civil war. i ended up scoring the prettiest goal of my life – stole the puck off a forecheck and deked out the goalie to roof it. too bad there was no go pro present to record the epic goal. there’s still so much i need to clean up in my game, but i’m happy i played my heart out today and make a statement. it’s extra sweet for all the criticism i took last week

day 1728 – penta social

went expecting to social with other penta players, but it wasn’t what i expected. there wasn’t much mingling involved, just eating, listening and drawing prizes. the social in this league is very different than the ones i’m used to going to; maybe the demographics is very different. the food was sub-par and disappointing, but at least we walked across the street to have a scoop of earnest. i’m surprised to see so many familiar faces within penta, many of which i met playing dodgeball

day 1570 – ikea run

treated to ikea froyo for helping with the ikea run. haven’t been to ikea for some time and haven’t eaten anything from ikea in a long time. as much as i wanted to reject the extra calories knowing pubnight social food is in the evening, it was already bought for me. so much guilt as i hold onto this cone wondering what after effects it may have. i restrict myself to a deficit on a regular basis, so one day i will lose the fat name callings. until then, i’ll always be self conscious and not let myself always have what it craves
