day 1560 – forkless 

in my packed lunch today is one of my favorites korean bean sprouts that my mom knows i love. eating late lunches means people get dibs on everything, everyday. cutlery especially forks miraculously go missing at the office, but i got to eat my lunch somehow. if all spoons go missing i’ll soon be eating with whatever utensil is left which could be knives or tongs

day 1438 – sushi chefs

just a mellow sunday planning our itinerary along with making california rolls, wakame sushi along with miso soup for dinner. second try at making homemade sushi is much better than the first because we learned from our amateur mistakes. it also helps when we have the proper rolling utensils. note to self, this serving size is way too much for two and can probably serve four

day 1106 – hungriness

for some odd reason i was hungrier than usual. even after a snack, my stomach was still hungry so i ate some tofu while waiting for my mom to cook dinner. dinner was finally ready and i am happy it had some of my favourite food like baked salmon and fresh corn on a cob. having an appetite again is a good sign; maybe it’s a sign that my lingering cold is really over; or maybe it’s a sign i am healthy again

day 964 – soup

found a note and a big bowl of homemade soup on the kitchen counter courtesy of mom. i haven’t been home for meals much lately so i have been missing out on all her homecooking and healthy soups. she’s always concerned i am not eating enough and not getting nutritious meals in. i guess in a way she has all the reason to do so because in her eyes, i never seem to eat enough

day 949 – so green

dinner full of green food felt like the way to turn the corner and slowly leave that nasty cold behind. getting back to eating more greens is the goal instead of grabbing what’s most available. never thought i would ever say i missed my veggies, but i really do after a stretch of not so health conscious food. time to get healthy and stay healthy, the big events are fast approaching

day 828 – munch time

prepared my very own salmon sashimi salad today made with lettuce, salmon sashimi, tomatoes and avocado. a meal i was looking forward to all day, maybe that explains why i was so hungry this morning. tasted yummy except next time i would pair it with a different dressing to go along with the sashimi. don’t worry, i am not going vegetarian, i don’t think i ever can because i still love my meat and fish

day 786 – medicine

i don’t know what happened overnight but my throat has been uber dry all day. taking some medication before going to bed, but before that, i wanted to eat some homemade ice cream. i could try to make an argument that the ice cream is actually the cure to all throat problems, but i have no scientific evidence to back that up so i decided i wouldn’t even try to defend myself
