day 2386 – up your alley

got news that the richmond alley soft opening is today. i didn’t feel the desperate need to go try it out just because i already tried the original in hong kong. i’m a big fan of their branding, type font and store decor. two years ago i was introduced the black sugar pearl milk tea, today i decided to try trio milk tea. i know this doesn’t fit into my healthy diet, but i ate some supposedly healthy puree noodles before

day 2382 – booster juicing

been craving booster juice for a while so took the splurge and tried the wildberry basil. it was one of the most healthy drink on the menu and best used for an after hockey refreshment. i guess it could be used as a consolation for not having played one of my better games. i also got a little roughed up with some marks on my forearm and a swelled up bad ankle

day 2356 – barbie’s birthday

we celebrated earlier over the weekend, but as with all other times, we always try to have the cake on the day of. we took a bunch of photos and enjoyed this lovely mango mousse cake. i hardly show my appreciation for what he does for me and the family. as we all grow older, i understand i must try harder to show how much i appreciate the distance he goes to do what’s best of us. i’ll definitely try harder to be the better daughter he’s always wanted. i want nothing but a healthy and happy amongst my family. hope that this year will be the best year yet

day 2176 – uneaten lunches

uneaten lunches piling up because this week has been a little busy. my monday lunch is still uneaten in the office fridge because of onboarding lunch, first aid lunch meetings. both lunch boxes had things i wanted to eat so i shared the lunches with coworker and skipped the overlaps. if i start getting a stomachache in the afternoon, i’ll definitely blame the old leftover lunch

day 1653 – juicing 

blending my banana kiwi almond milk smoothie at my desk. just the sound of it already makes me feel like i’m having something ultra healthy, which i won’t deny. the main reason i’m having this instead of my normal grapes is so i can have some solids and some liquids in my body. funny when people were looking around searching for the sounds that my blender was making

day 964 – soup

found a note and a big bowl of homemade soup on the kitchen counter courtesy of mom. i haven’t been home for meals much lately so i have been missing out on all her homecooking and healthy soups. she’s always concerned i am not eating enough and not getting nutritious meals in. i guess in a way she has all the reason to do so because in her eyes, i never seem to eat enough

day 828 – munch time

prepared my very own salmon sashimi salad today made with lettuce, salmon sashimi, tomatoes and avocado. a meal i was looking forward to all day, maybe that explains why i was so hungry this morning. tasted yummy except next time i would pair it with a different dressing to go along with the sashimi. don’t worry, i am not going vegetarian, i don’t think i ever can because i still love my meat and fish

day 545 – morning meal

i was up very late last night doing a lot of thinking, that’s usually when my mind wanders far off, it doesn’t feel like i slept much at all, but no matter what life must go on. as usual, starting my day off with some multi grain cheerios. it all sounds healthy until you realize how much sugar is actually in the cereal. but oh well, still an optimal choice because it is quick and easy

day 538 – the last meal

second dineout vancouver stop at carderos with some fellow hamberites. nice walk along the seawall although it was a cold one, maybe that’s why my throat is hurting. being guilt tripped after dining out past month, i told myself each time that it was the last; but after yesterday, i swear it would be the last exquisite dining out for a while and even limiting any kind of eating out as much as i can. that’s enough pampering myself with good yet expensive food

day 469 – freshii

i wasn’t able to wake up early enough to prepare my own lunch so it gave me opportunity to finally have my freshii salad bowl for lunch. chose the bistro salad, a simple turkey breast with tomato and avocado salad that i could probably make myself but somehow it tasted better. i should wake up earlier tomorrow to prepare a lunch so i can avoid spending eight dollars on a salad like such
