day 2380 – rough stuff

it was a dangerous game out there tonight playing against some players that thought they were in nhl. this team is notorious for having this no visor, no cage woman fall on or run people over recklessly. another guy went around and punched three of my teammates in the head and got ejected from the game. i don’t understand how these players haven’t been banned from beer league hockey yet. it’s a pity there’s a good chance we’ll meet again during the playoffs

day 990 – rdl champ

i couldn’t have been more satisfied winning rdl tier 2 champs. every sour catch kid stepped up and played together down the stretch to make this happen. it was a hard earned championship where we had to fight through many tough series and come back from the loser’s bracket. it did come with a cost. i took two shots in the head in a single play – one being a ball that struck me in the collarbone area, the other being a follow through elbow in the back of my head. it was a scary moment because i don’t recall dropping down on the floor like a rock and being unresponsive for a good minute or two. regardless, i just wanted to get up and continue playing because the finals meant the world to me. i can deal with the consequences after it’s all said and done

day 432 – head hunters

dodgeball is a fun sport when played properly but a dangerous one if played incorrectly, that’s the case for tier 3 games. needless to say, it was a really rough night full of head shots, poor and nonexistent reffing, undisciplined players who blatantly cheat. i was very agitated throughout the night when my head was aimed at countless time before one finally connected. having just suffered a concussion three weeks ago and an upcoming competition, i would feel absolutely outrageous if i suffer another just because players fail to understand the rules and safety of the game. i was just trying to do my executive due diligence and explicitly told off several players, there was no improvement
