day 2573 – jogging

my sleep schedule is very much shifted so i had a lot of idle time laying in bed before i could fall asleep past 4am. i was way too tired to lift weights in the morning, so i decided to go for light cardio while pixel lifted. i found every possible excuse to not do it, but in the end i knew i had to plug in my  headphones and get it done. last time i jogged this soccer field, even one lap was a struggle. i jogged at a much slower pace and got my two laps done

day 2177 – hd summer bbq

the day of our annual summer barbecue party has come and there’s a lot of preparation as usual. it’s always good to only work half day and party in the other half. this year is hawaiian themed so we had guest come to present an ‘aloha experience’. we had the usual human foosball, photo booth and of course tug of war. new to this year is the limbo contest which i participated but didn’t win. so surprised i won dr dre beats from the raffle draw, which never happens with my luck

day 1727 – nash challenge 


picked up my gym goodie bag from winning the march nash challenge. it’s a big surprise because i never have the luck at any of these draws, contests or challenges. it’s a nice little gym bag with embroidered logo, perfect for one of the many sports i currently play. inside this gym bag were shaker bottle, a shirt, headphones, some protein bars, towel and coupons. i can definitely put them all to good use and keep going towards my fitness goals

day 1617 – jaybirds

another shipment from boxing day shopping arrived at my doorstep. as the parcels trickle in, i keep in mind christmas is only three hundred odd days away. lots of expenditures this past christmas on laser, supplies, clothing, sports gear, car essentials, organizations and now headphones. these jaybirds is a hefty buy but it was time to make the upgrade rather than just settle for something mediocre. they’re ready to rock and roll next time i’m working my butt off

day 1542 – work selfie


plugging in the headphones at work to prevent too many distractions. people realize i’m not i’m the office for two days and feel the need to bother me. i have a lot of emails to catch up on and haven’t got the time to entertain people’s nonsense. i got really ticked off when someone came over to almost tease my minor sprain he called it. i went to bed without dinner since the stressful day took over my appetite. it’s not like i can exercise anyways so i might as well keep the eating off

day 1006 – mi beats

small mi headphones for my beats came in today. it came through my mailbox well protected in a very sleek looking box, packaged so neatly and delicately. i have never bought a small mi product before but reviews show this is a popular item for consumers. being made in china, it’s one of those hit or miss things. if it works as well as it looks, it will be a replacement for my existing headphones. i can’t wait to test them out in the gym

day 863 – depot run

flashback to getting my pipe roller from home depot. i bet the clerk was very suspicious of what this girl is building with pieces of pvc pipe. i go out of my way to doing what i need for maintenance. going to the gym is one of the absolute worst time to forget my phone and that’s exactly what happened today. i felt so lost and naked because i don’t have my headphones and music to get me through the grueling demands. but what needs to be done must be done

day 738 – get it done

forgoing taekwondo tonight because i have got lots of question marks surrounding my ankle status. however, i am feeling optimistic that i can go back to class next week and other activities likewise. in the meantime, grabbed my music, headphones, shoes and off i go do to what needs to be done. it’s looking awfully empty in the gym tonight maybe because it’s friday night and the sun’s out, but that works in my favour

day 706 – headphones in

headphones in, music on, i have arrived at a place where it’s time to grind. back at the gym in a long long time, at least a week prior to competition if i remember correctly. to my surprise, there’s a line of upgraded treadmills and lots of brand new equipments to toy with. i hate going in just before dinner time but had to squeeze it in. stepped down one notch from where i last left off, and sad to say it was still a struggle

sometimes emotions get the best of us and it’s how we choose to deal with these emotions that separates you from others. whether that may be through physical outputs or financial outputs or caloric intake. no matter which method you decide to use, make sure it doesn’t cause irreversible damage, severe consequences and endless regrets. everyone has different values and interests and will use their money according to those wants and needs. i like to stay on top with my technology and gadgets and that will likely not change, but that is not by all means affected by emotional spending. emotional eating is a common problem, having said that, i am not saying i will not eat junk from time to time; i just have to beware i don’t use emotional eating and drinking as part of my outlet. need to have self restraint and be logical  by making healthy eating choices. for me, physical output is my go to source when it comes to releasing all my stress and emotional concerns. when i have a rough day, breaking a sweat allows me forget about everything else and usually feel lighter afterwards. it’s like gym is my happy place where i can plug in my headphones and be alone
