day 1361 – flying home

saying goodbye to florida and the sunshine for now; i hope to be back soon. it was a memorable trip going away with mo and experiencing florida together. being ill on this trip for sure dampened my mood and made things difficult. it was a short and good one, but i’m glad we’re heading home to where it’s most comfortable and familiar. now it’s time to get back to our normal routine and resume our grind

solo series [day twelve]

woke up without a plan but turns out to be fairly eventful. with a transit day pass, we had the luxury of taking multiple lines at any point throughout the day. from there on, we covered a few more attractions including osaka castle, science centre, aquarium, and largest ferris wheel in asia. we inadvertently passed by a judo dojo and caught some kids in action. i wasn’t too keen on hitting up any more department stores, but my mother wasn’t finished shopping. i am done shopping, done walking and done spending

i can’t seem to buy sleep on this trip; my body clock wakes me up at 4am each day. that’s not usual because i can typically fall asleep anywhere. i guess i’ll make it up on the plane or when i get back

tomorrow i will be in transit again, this time a nine and a half hour direct flight back to vancouver. shortly after arriving in yvr airport, mo and i will be reunited. the countdown has now changed to hours instead of days. we couldn’t be happier that the countdown is in its final hours

this wraps up my entire asia summer trip with family. it’s been fun and adventurous, but at the same time draining in far too many ways. my ankles and knees have taken a beating from averaging 20000 steps a day. my body tells me it’s about time to head back to vancity because that’s where my heart is. it hasn’t exactly been a restful vacation, but i needed some time away from my regular routine. i am definitely ready to go home to make some important life decisions, get back on my grind and of course spend lots of time with mo

day 977 – woodburn

image

stopped by woodburn for a quick shopping spree before heading back north. shopping can be a dangerous thing for my poor wallet. i went ahead and bought yet another pair of nike frees to add to my collection. it was a very enjoyable and fulfilling trip here in portland; i found myself preserving for what i wanted to accomplish. i can’t wait to get through that six hour drive and be back in vancity

day 446 – heading home

image

wrapping up my washington roadtrip with overall team success. can’t get home without paying the peace arch a little visit and of course getting through the long border wait. look forward heading farther down for the next one plus the rest on the list we are eyeing and it may be sooner than i know it. a lot of work and practice to be done if we are aiming for those bigger opens, don’t let it stop

day 445 – after party seattle fun

image

partying hard last night after a successful competition, a little drinking never hurts as long as it doesn’t get to the wasted pointed. late start to the day after a wild night, and we are heading back home on a good weekend well spent but in exhaustion. but a good weekend is not before spending some time in eating and shopping at seattle pike place market and premium outlet

day 292 – and that’s a wrap

in downtown staring up at empire state building as toronto and new york trip comes to a close. wrapping up a trip that had everything from training, stress, madness, pure exhaustion, good times, long drives and abundant unexpected circumstances. good bye toronto and new york, until next time
