day 2211 – uc crew reunion

underconstruction crew reunion was long overdue. though i last visited hong kong in november and saw one, it’s not the same as having the complete four all together. the visiting uc craved tacos, so that’s where we took our dear friend. we met up at la taqueria for some happy hour nachos and tacos. it’s great to see these faces again and catch up with each other’s lives. not much has changed, but so much has changed. we’re already planning our next gathering and changing our upcoming secret santa rules

day 2103 – escape room

slept until 1pm because saturday night shenanigans didn’t end until 5am. continuing my crazy birthday weekend with flightclub family that started with earl’s happy hour, then escape room puzzle solving and ended with an open gym session. it was great both the groups solved the mystery and escape our respective rooms. the giant birthday back tuck circle during open gym was definitely a bonus that capped it all off. i’m grateful so many people in my life wanted to hangout and celebrate my birthday with me

day 1023 – knutsford happy hour

after a morning and afternoon of family time visiting both grandmas on opposite side of the city, i was off on my own schedule. representing fifty percent of the underconstruction crew in knutsford – a version of lan kwai fong. we had happy hour drinks and potato wedges. i kept my promise and stayed away from alcoholic drinks and ordered a mango passion fruit mocktail instead. our post shopping meal was at a noodles shop called tam jai sam jor. i really can’t afford to get any fatter on this asia trip

day 447 – kamei oyster

image

having happy hour seafood dinner at kamei baru before watching the judge on cheap movie tuesdays. i don’t think i have ever seen quite that many oysters in one bowl before. i’d have be careful not to spoil the movie for anyone that plans to watch it soon. the movie was good but beware it is a bit deep and heavy. it was good seeing these people’s faces again, it’s been long overdue
