day 2399 – anti bullying

wearing my christmas sweater in support of anti-bullying pink shirt day. there was a period in time in where i was bullied in grade eight. i got called names and i got shoved into a locker. there i was, thinking it’s normal so i put up with it for a bit. that person eventually got kicked out of hamber. thinking back those were unhappy times that didn’t need to be. had this continued, my hamber years would not have been some of the highlight years of my life thus far

day 2393 – les miserables

my student invited me to watch her musical in my very own highschool. don’t get to step back into hamber very often, but going in as an alumni always has a special place for my heart and bring back so much memories. the musical was very well done and i’m impressed with all the talent of the highschool students. i wished the school would invest in upgrading the auditorium because i left the three us hour play with a sore back, butt and neck

day 1093 – dial back

image

a day of climbing out of the dark and back into the light. the past forty eight hours had a lot more downs than ups, but i will spend much of the next hours, days, weeks and years making it infinitely better. i am strong enough to withstand the circumstances thrown at me. it is time to repair myself and look for new directions. i can always bank of having companions by my side to talk it over

day 1044 – reunion tour

bringing back the full underconstruction crew where all of us are in the same timezone. nothing like an evening spent digging up past memories, laughing at our glorious days and relinquishing our dominance as a team. it’s amazing we rarely realize how far back we go and how long our friendship has lasted. we’re a rowdy bunch when the four are put together; reminiscence of the good old days. never underestimate the value of true friendship; we will always have each other’s back no matter which continent we are on

day 880 – underconstruction crew

a lunch date and christmas exchange with the underconstruction crew. i haven’t received my present from my secret santa yet, but i’ll take into consideration it must travel across seven seas. it’s amazing the friendship of this crew reached twelve years and counting. this girl and i shared incredibly crazy memories in our years at hamber. we had classes together, shared lockers, spent mornings, lunchtimes, afterschools, practices, post practices and weekends together. upon doing the math, it equates to over ninety hours on a weekly basis. we’d devote lots of those hours harassing and beating each other up to our heart’s content. even though we don’t see each other as often nowadays, she remains one of my dearest friend

day 435 – where we at??

image

throwback to hamber days with the locker gang. lived through the many highs and lows of highschool with this awesome group. it’s a pity we have all dispersed into different areas of the globe but all the good times will not be forgotten. its a test because true friends will always feel like we are together even when far apart. wonder where everyone is at right now

day 178 – dineout part 2

image

for the second time this week, i am at another dineout, enjoying my time keeping in touch with hamber girls. this time i had fresh oysters, black cod, lemon cake and a bonus mango drink. we were all starving from the long delays but besides that everything tasted quite good, and i particularly enjoyed the trio oyster
