day 1623 – fully discharged

i’ve waited long and hard, to hear surgeon’s very words, i will discharge you from my hand clinic, congratulations. that was further confirmed at my physio appointment who also said i’m cleared for sports with no restrictions barring any pain. on top of that, he who rarely compliments me did so for i maintained my alignment since he last adjusted me. the usual hardwork with the kinesiologist who not only worked me hard on the rehab exercises, but also gave me extras stuff i never even thought was possible out of me. he’s one of the biggest reason i’ve improved so much through the years and i’m gratified he’s given me all these challenges. the back to back appointments couldn’t have tasted any sweeter as i left both clinics beyond elated to hear that i came out triumphant. i will be able to sleep well tonight

day 1574 – surgeon visit

fifth time into the clinic and fifth set of xrays, the radiologist has gotten to know me too well. hand specialist handed me some good news today that gave me a reason to smile and it wasn’t that my bone has grown back together cause the xrays are still ugly. in fact, he reiterates my bone will never be straight again, it will never appear as one piece, it may always have clicking inside, but he intends on making my thumb work again. my splint is trimmed down a little and i’m given the go ahead on certain things. it just means i now have less restrictions as to how often i need to wear it. the road is a little more clear now

day 1385 – elbows

second week into my rehab program with the chiropractor and it brought some good news. although i still am off limits when it comes to the gym, second week is noticeably better than the first. i no longer wake up feeling like a train hit me.  my chiropractor likes that my back progressing at his pace, but now has to check whether my elbow is fractured. after bending it and twisting it, i’m leaning towards no fracture

day 1099 – bleak

a morning physio appointment puts restrictions on physical activities for the rest of the day. the check up was good, but i was terrible at what i did; not impressed with how i did the exercises i was assigned. the good news is he said i recovered well and has little issue with me to resuming most of my activities. maybe the weather change overnight is the cause of my headache and dry throat. i will just sleep it off and hope i will be better tomorrow

day 835 – twist and twirl

image

had my fair share of leg work today working lots on twists and twirls. slowly but surely things are getting better and looking a whole lot smoother. i am excited because the timing and feeling are definitely coming along and consistency has improved drastically, meaning i am regaining my form again. still a long way to go to get it down nice and compact, but i hope that soon i will be able to land it without hesitation. best of all, my legs and the rest of my body is feeling great even after all that so i am ready to see what physio says tomorrow

day 758 – physio checkup

image

having my regular morning physio check up and it was a positive one, held up nicely since last visit and that’s huge for me. it’s a sign of progress and a big step in the right direction considering i have been doing a fair amount of my activities during this time span. my reward for having such positive feedback is some trolling courtesy of my physio and kinesiologist who demanded some unexpected numbers and then threw a curveball at me. i had a lot of hesitation but they gave me the sense there was no way out of it knowing i must do it or i am not going home

day 737 – home free

that feeling when xray results come back negative, but it’s actually a positive news. i can rest assure everything is going to be okay and that it’s alright to resume my life of all the activities i deem important to me. wonder what kind of tests would ensue to investigate further what is the real cause of the unnecessary bruising and weird pain sensations. i still don’t know what further tests i will need to undergo, but i guess i was rest easy for the time being
