day 1938 – taikwun

a full day of fun hanging out with friends. i can’t say enough about how much i appreciate them taking time out to chill during my visit. it’s too bad we didn’t get to go up to the peak, but there was so much more we could explore and eat. we toured around the former hong kong prison and police station, walked around central area, then all the way to causeway bay. the eating tour continues which started with famous egg tarts and finished off with some curry beef omlette. another twenty five thousand steps logged which is good cause i have lots of calories waiting to be burned

day 1081 – taekwondo loaded

after an eight hour shift of teaching was followed by a three hour long demo rehearsal. it’s final rehearsal for tomorrow’s walk with the dragon event. everything had to spotless before we could leave the dojo tonight as we wanted this to be a good show. i am tired but it’s a good kind of tired. it was stuffy inside, but a bubble tea delivery from a student made it a difference. all i want to do is go home, pass out and be up doing all over again in seven hours

day 1067 – hillcrest

i haven’t taught at richmond for a long long time. got my full day of teaching in today starting at 9:30am and it wasn’t too bad at all. after a long shift, i revisited hillcrest to watch some drop in which reminded me of the hillcrest gym days i used to have. the area was busy with vancouver canadians playing as well. it was disappointing that even though the facility is newer and nicer, it wasn’t equipped with the heater like sunset rink

day 719 – locarno beach

a full day of events today running only on three hours of sleep isn’t ideal. at stanley park doing walk with the dragon and playing ultimate, followed by chilling at the beach, paddleboard and more chilling at locarno beach. catching the gorgeous sunset at locarno beach as we walked back to the beach having finished dinner was amazing. this was my first crack at paddleboarding and it was pretty fun, definitely would do it again. a full day out under the sun must have sucked all the water out of me

day 491 – products of hong kong

finally got around to playing around with these nifty gadgets. my parent brought back a selfie stick and power bank from hong kong. taking advantage of hong kong stuff because many things made in china tend to be much cheaper. that power bank comes in handy since my z1 phone battery got a lot worse recently and can’t even last a full day. perhaps it also signals it’s a good time to get a new phone
