day 2005 – sushi nanaimo

it was unplanned to skip lunch and go straight for dinner. food is usually really low on my saturday priority list because teaching takes me most of my energy. it was especially draining since some students taking promotion test tomorrow wasn’t performing up to my standards. fueled up with my parents at sushi nanaimo before playing my fishsticks hockey game

day 1749 – expensive fuel

i can’t believe my eyes when the pump ejected my receipt. one full fill up now cost me eight nine cents short of a hundred. the cost of living in vancouver has gone up so much in both driving and living. it used to cost mid eighties for one tank of gas, now it’s almost triple digits. condos are so out of reach, it makes saving up for a down payment next to impossible. it makes me wonder what steps are required to follow the skyrocketing market in order for my generation to settle in vancouver

day 1730 – ramen fuel

chomping down ramen for fuel and fire after taekwondo do and before a night of dodgeball. there’s all the reason for my teammates to bet on me tonight, but i didn’t disappoint. i needed some dodgeball fix, not to mention i didn’t want to miss two weeks in a row. the showdown that i won today is quite the battle; one that i can stand tall with. i played relatively well tonight considering the circumstances i had to face. i just need to rectify that very little stands between me and sports. one thing to figure out how in the world i can better grip the ball; my grip will have to adapt to something else

stepping foot in tong’s kitchen to prepare for tomorrow’s party. this is not a familiar territory for me since i only cook the primary things to fuel my body, but i might turn out to be an iron chef after this holiday season. the requirement for this recipe is we must create our dish from scratch; darn i can’t have my fruit platter. although i haven’t taste tested until party time, my deviled eggs look really yummy

day 889 – not a chance

this went out the door as fast as it came into my mailbox. in the past i would’ve left it on the counter waiting for someone else to claim it. today i threw it right out with no hesitation cause i want no part of this overpriced junk. i am confident to say turning down fastfood is something i would do in a heartbeat. making healthy choices simply because i want a well maintained system that won’t break down prematurely

day 791 – bottoms up

fueling on my bcaa tonight like it’s the last thing i do today. i know very well that i had worked hard today and most definitely be sore tomorrow. just hope to minimize the degree of soreness and decrease the chances of being sore for too long┬ácause i got a full week ahead of me. getting back to it after a prolonged period of time and definitely happy with today’s progress as things are coming along

day 730 – my bars

image

it’s exciting when my orders and packages keep coming in and this time it’s my much anticipated combat bars. with these stocked up in my drawer, i am ready for just about anything or so i would like to think. i could use a boost in training lately as there has been a lack of it. hope this restores my motivations and puts me back on track with the things i really need to do
