day 2191 – free friday

the day after making personal records deserves a bit of a rest. i still went to flightclub because i wanted to flip, but taking it easy on the training as my body works to recover. i let my body decide what it can do and didn’t push to do too much on the floor. i still did some x-out practice and ninja landing onto the blue mat. the rest of the evening was a chill one. even though i don’t have much planned, i was just glad to get the bc day long weekend started

day 1829 – woman in black

my 2xu tights getting in on the action while i do some active stretching. no shame taking a selfie because there’s a first time for everyone. i usually wear shorts into the gym so this is a new look for me sporting all black coveted compressions. just in the gym trying to get some maintenance work done while i can’t be an active participant in my normal activities. it wasn’t just the legs, my chest and shoulder is still very sore from physio’s beating. disappointed that the pain and my movement is still as limited, but a little premature to say that it’s not improving

day 1808 – meeting onslaught 

closing off the work week with a meeting filled friday. the onslaught of meetings is just starting now that design tech is almost a department of its own. i now have to sit in all the sop meetings and pod meetings. ending the friday with some flipping and a sashimi dinner with mom. i landed several flips on blue with phantom spots; i guess that’s progress but kind of slower than i’d like. maybe i need to work harder and force myself to do more repetitions each time

after the weekend, my work hour total would be over fifty five and my sleep total is halved that. finishing the work week with some well deserved coffee. i’m completely exhausted and taxed, but i’m going to keep grinding on the term project and final exam coming up next week. colleagues’ are friendly and work atmosphere is pleasant; i’m adapting quickly and learning lots on the go

day 801 – vintage

vintage coca cola bottles up for grab after today’s thanksgiving lunch potluck. i have been pretty good at staying away from carbonated pop over the past couple months. i am guilty of having one today because i couldn’t resist the vintage bottles, but let’s get back to none for the next little while. thanksgiving potluck at an appropriate time to end off what felt like a very long week. one that hasn’t allowed for much sleep, making me a super weary and tired soul, but heck i really don’t sleep much anyways and definitely not the prescribed healthy amount. this long weekend comes timely and i will designate some time to make up for the lack of sleep

day 717 – chocolate chill

it’s friday afternoon, the end of another week and i really craved something cold and chocolatey so i will allow myself to have cheat snack. not sure if i really liked it or my craving liked it. but i would describe timmy chocolate chill as an thick icy chocolate milk, or a poor man’s frappucinno. this better not become a regular craving because it would really get me chubs

day 352 – casual friday

it’s finally friday, felt like dressing casual and dressing down with jeans and loafers. time is flying by ever so quickly and another week comes to an end. looking forward to a different kind of weekend, where i actually have half a weekend like a normal person with saturday off teaching but still need to prepare for the long sunday haul
