after eighteen days surviving four countries and nine hundred and sixty seven photos taken, i’m really glad to be taking my final flight home. waiting for my seven hour flight to head back to vancity where my parents, friends and fun awaits. having long vacations like this makes me homesick. i can’t wait to see my family, friends and teammates, and do my everyday things like flip, hockey, gym and chill. i’m super exhausted from dealing with the selfishness and glad to be spending time with those that i’d call friends
immediately rushed out to meet up with the boys after landing and checking in my airbnb. by then it was pushing 4pm, where we finally had lunch near westminister district. the group of us walked around looking at westminister abbey, westminister bridge, london eye, big ben and trafalgar square. at the end of the day, i attempted a back tuck in front of london eye but i really wasn’t satisfied with the flip itself. i wanted to try again but at the same time i knew i was too tired and too full to make any better attempts. and this was only day one in london, but felt like i’ve been up for forty eight straight hours
didn’t drive to work today because i’m leaving for the airport straight from the office. never taken iceland air before so i had no idea they were so stingy on allowances. so snacks or meals were provided even on a seven hour flight. icelandair also doesn’t include a check in luggage and charges an outrageous amount to have one checked. on top of that, the carry on size is smaller than other airlines. the seats were so cramped i would never recommend icelandair to anyone
i rushed from flipping to pick up my parents from the airport after their eight day travel to the sunny los cabos. it so happened to be my dad’s birthday, but they didn’t really feel like eating out when they returned, i guess there was too much of that in mexico. it sounded like they had a relaxing time escaping the cold weather of vancity. i’m glad they live life to its fullest and travel as often as they like. though i lose some freedom, i do restore the regular my eating routine
eighteen hours on an airplane with a one hour rushed transfer in between really upset my knees. i was so exhausted prior to the flight that i completed passed out the bulk of the first flight and didn’t bother with washroom breaks or cup noodle. you could say i’m excited and not excited for this trip. this bi-annual asia trip consist of a stop in singapore before hong kong. i’ll be my nth time visiting hong kong, but first in singapore
flying out of the nevada desert and going back home where my good old bed awaits. i take with me a lot of valuable and imperative experience that was gained attending this tradeshow. not only did i learn about the industry, i also learned a lot about my coworkers, manager and even the big boss. it was a tiring trip being on my feet all day and all night. i’m ready to head back to vancity where i can chill with mo. i’m not homesick, but that’s enough flying for the month
the day did not go as planned, especially not before i take off for vacation. my work day was cut short because i threw up everything i had eaten the night before. all i could do was go home and hope that i get better after sleep. i ate a bowl of plain congee for dinner before checking into yvr for our red eye flight to florida. it all sounds like a rocky start but everything about our florida adventures must go on as scheduled
waking up very early morning to drive down to bellingham airport and waiting to board my plane to the city that never sleeps. first time flying allegiant air and already not pleased with the additional charges up front. in minutes i can finally say my vacation has begun!! forget about sleep, who needs sleep anyways??
