day 1646 – proceed with caution

first time back in the gym after a crushing injury that left me splinted. i still have a splint on but i couldn’t wait any longer to get back into the gym even if it meant i was just in the environment. during the almost four weeks i’ve lost five pounds which is good but bad. was cautioned to keep it real light and that’s what i did cause i couldn’t actually manage much. i should be prepared that it’ll be a long road back; there’s a lot of rehab and training days ahead of me. i’m happy just being able to step foot in the gym again because it’s really the place i want to be in once i can be

day 1504 – numero uno 

although i haven’t been here too many times, this box feels so homey because this place has everything i like. a good first kineis rehab session in the books. nothing too difficult and starting off easy since he wasn’t sure where i was at with my recovery. he’s one of the most caring dudes i’ve ever worked with and would ask if i was okay every so often. the way he treats me is very warming and sweet. i wish i could play with everything here, but i had to lay off doing crazy stuff that he wouldn’t be concerned . soon, i hope the crazy stuff will be mine again soon

day 450 – atop the podium

standing on top of the podium amongst that company meant much more than just winning because it felt extra awesome knowing i am starting to round into my form after months and months of continuous struggles with some severe injuries. still far from where i want to be but i will seek ways to do what i can to get to where i want. through this whole process i learned to deal with the unexpected, work with what i had and make the best out of the condition i was given. can’t say it wasn’t a long and difficult road back but hardwork and patience of rehab does pay off. there were also moments of doubts where i thought it was the end but i am glad i didn’t let that happen otherwise i wouldn’t be standing atop the podium. beating some blue pants is a telling tale and a sweet comeback. can’t wait to get mine. it’s good to be back

day 170 – just had to

after finding out mcdonald’s is featuring poutine on their menu, i had to give it a try. not bad i must admit, but i don’t know when i will be having another. broke my stretch of healthy days with my first fast food of the year. but then again, it’s only been seventeen days into the new year
