say 2162 – spiderman costume

my spiderman suit took a while to get to me, but at least the long wait is finally over. at first glance, i didn’t think it would fit, but after trying it on, i think it’s made unisex. i’ll need to make several adjustments and upgrades before i can wear it out. rest assure it will be ready and look amazing come halloween. the whole flightclub crew is really going with the allll out spiderman theme

day 2159 – biking stint

spent canada day olympic lifting, hanging out and having some fun inside and out. while some needed a power nap, i took a borrowed a bike and decided to take it for a spin to visit work. it was a little risky since i haven’t ridden a bike in vancouver for years and years, and never on the streets sharing the road with cars. after a short stint on the bike, we went to watch men in black. it wasn’t the best of movies, but i still enjoyed it. i’m so stoked spiderman is coming out tomorrow, and can’t wait to catch it in theatres

day 2012 – flightclub anniversary

even though i couldn’t really do much having banged up both my left and right legs, i still attended the anniversary open gym. i wanted to at least chill with the rest of the flightclub family and be there for their important celebration. i like that this is a place where i’ve met some new friends and learned some new flips and tricks. hoping i’ll hit a few more tricks in their second year

day 2011 – wall flip

my flips were feeling strong in class and post class training. my back tucks have been coming back to me and lately i’ve been able to get solid landings on blue mat by myself. i was curious about the wall flips so i asked to learn it to which one of the coach graciously took me through the steps. they were really cool once i started going through the whole motion with a spot. although in the end i hurt my knee on one of the awkward landing, i don’t regret having asked to learn it. since i didn’t know the extent of my injury, i did have to pull out of my hockey game later that night
