day 697 – montreal poutine

and a poutine to wrap up my montreal nationals trip. i couldn’t leave montreal without having eaten their city’s most famous food – where the infamous smokery poutine originated. there’s a lot of guilt with every bite cause i have been eating too much and definitely too much filthy junk food all trip long. i definitely need a detox once i get back and everything should go back to normal with healthier foods

day 695 – old quebec

image

tough day of competition with some slippage and certainly disappointment. hit me harder than anyone can imagine but it’s a wake up call and learning experience. i have some thinking, regrouping and re-prioritizing to do when i get back, but i will come back strong. in the meantime, going into old quebec late at night with the purpose of sightseeing. the area is pretty neat with some resemblance of vancity gastown and yaletown. turns out we stopped by mcdonalds just to try the mclobster and some mcflurries. would be nice to come back during the day time if time permits

day 694 – asian invasion

after taking care of the competition side of things with id pickup and weigh ins, the rest of the day was spent driving around town. montreal’s chinatown was very impressive, it was very clean with many eating options and street vendors that almost reminded me of china. we made our way to chinatown to satisfy our ramen and bubble tea craving. a red eye flight made me so tired, i was dozing off in the car starting mid day. calling it an early night cause it felt like i haven’t slept for two days
