day 2500 – hoarders

looking ahead to when i get my hands on one of the highest sought after commodities of covid – bumper plates. basically all fitness equipment has been out of stock since the very beginning. all fitness stores are severely depleted because everyone is hoarding. i can’t wait to have my own women’s olympic barbell and a set of bumper plates in my garage gym. a nice set of equipment to suit my needs will be expensive, but it’ll be an investment that will have great returns in years to come

day 2440 – grocery shop

the day time was designated to do all the grocery shopping with my mom. we dressed and equipped ourselves with masks and gloved before heading out to both superstore and t&t. the lineup going in wasn’t too bad, but we had to load up on the necessities and stock up our fridge and freezers for more than a week. i didn’t expect tofu to be completely sold out at superstore. we carted out around more than two hundred dollars worth of groceries from each store. the whole journey took over three hours, so long i didn’t even bother eating lunch

day 2424 – car portraits

getting a new car in the family means doing our car portrait tradition under the tracks. it was the perfect day to do it because it was rainy and had a glimpse of the sun. we took a bunch of photos with several different orientations while some pedestrians stared on. my brother added an audi to the family while i’m also celebrating getting an upgraded bmw. the amount i paid is pretty significant, but i’ve been expecting and saving up for a while

day 2414 – shadow maintenance

bringing shadow into bmw for its last annual car service under my ownership. it was another expensive service, but that’s nothing new with beemers. the exterior is looking sharp and sparkling clean, but i still need to give the interior a wipe down this weekend before i show it to potential owners. i hope to find a good owner who will take good care of it. i’m really looking forward to receiving an upgraded car that i’ve already put a lot of money down

day 2371 – sunroof motor

the mechanic returned my car with the body fixed as good as new, but told me my sunroof motor is broken. the replacement part alone from bmw will cost almost nine hundred dollars, but i’m going with the used motor route. i get my car back while waiting for the part to be shipped over. even though i don’t plan on keeping this car for too much longer, i still need to fix it to get a better selling price

day 2326 – surrey surfing

out in surrey with my family looking at open houses. in the past several weeks we’ve walked through countless units within the neighborhood. i liked a few and went as far as putting down an offer, only to find out it’s out of the range i can be approved for. i’m grateful they’ve been so supportive in my quest to step into the world of real estate. i think we’re getting closer to another offer, but i can’t wait to have them witness me becoming a first time homeowner

day 2316 – luzia

luzia was on my list to do since tickets came out in october. never bought any because the tickets were so expensive and i was in save up mode. it was my day to watch because i finally took the splurge, thankfully the discount code made the show more affordable. the show was incredible as always. the performers always have the coolest acrobatic skills and craziest skills

day 2283 – prp treatment

in naturopath clinic to do my first platelet rich plasma treatment. these prp treatments will burn a hole through my wallet, but my foot left me with no other option. it was very neat and very scary at the same time; watching the machine spin and separate my blood into parts and having it put back into me. getting what must have been twenty injections was a painful process. i had both feet done and could barely walk out of the office myself

day 2127 – afternoon tea

this would be my very first afternoon tea of my life and i must say it’s one expensive meal. i enjoyed the food, but it was a lot of pastry and sweets to take in for one sitting and i left feeling unusually bloated. the delicacy is way too much for my stomach and wallet to enjoy. the calories intake is defiitely something i can’t afford anymore often than once a year. i don’t know what constitutes a good afternoon tea, but i’m not one to look too deeply into it. starting to have traces of missing home

day 2126 – duck and waffle

this was suppose to be a super highly rated restaurant that requires months and months of advance booking. the view from the fortieth floor was nice, but aside from that, i personally thought everything was overpriced and overrated. the duck and waffle was minimally okay and i definitely wouldn’t pay eighteen pounds for it. on top of that, their service was one of the worst i’ve ever seen. i’d day i’m dissatisfied with the amount i paid for in return
