day 1600 – vdl season ender

bonding with the execs that i’ve been a part of for eight seasons and counting. it’s rare to have the full exec body together so there was a lot of mingling and eating involved. it takes a good crowd to run a dodgeball league with success. this year’s ender theme was christmasy but hardly did anyone muster anything. i for one have a very dark wardrobe so finding a pink and gray top was all i could mystery unless i go with another black dress. the menu was almost preset almost like a dineout, but i somehow had a menu of my own that was both lactose and onion-free

day 1363 – robot war

nine dodgeless days is over as robot war strikes. a simple game of dodgeball with player stat tracking to spark trade talks. the few twists to the rules but i’m ready to contribute to team doraemon. day three of liquid diet consisted of three slices of toasts and one banana; i’m surprised i still had energy in the tank to play. these restrictions suck and i would experience spurts of dizziness throughout the day

day 1306 – exec social

a vdl event that gathers execs so those who don’t do league ops nor play every night gets a chance to hangout. i am usually unable to make it out to these events, but i had a gap before working at blackbelt test. taking over most of steamworks eating and socializing while getting good laughs playing board games. the company was good but the food was horrible; i ended up eating my first hotdog since korean festival two summers ago. a laid back afternoon that momentarily got my mind off taekwondo where i was low key stressing out for my competition

day 504 – wednesday crew

quality time with the wednesday night crew eating, drinking, playing games and just chatting. who would say no to free food that we are entitled to based on the hard work we put in to run the weekly show. so much bad eating over the holiday season and the the bad news is there’s more bad eating to come. as weird as it sounds, i think i am sick of seeing food

day 501 – execs unite

hungry executives celebrating the completion of season 18 at water kitchen in gastown. vdl’s human resources surprised us all with christmas presents, as each of us was rewarded with a pair of the newest vdl apparel personalized with our own initials. must admit i am relieved that we are at the season’s end because this season has been really stressful balancing out all my commitments and tasks, i really need the extra time just to get away from my neverending commitments
