day 1586 – bandaid belt

each playoff we come close but just short as runner ups, but that changed today when our balls your face finally prevailed with the tier 2 bandaid belt after being eluded for three playoffs. this team is unbelievably unselfish and selfless which truly exemplifies the real meaning of what team means to me. many hard fought and tough competition in this tier, but we never unwavered. a well deserved victory for this iconic wednesday team. i’m exhausted and still slightly hungover, but i can’t be happier to be a part of this crew

day 1578 – wild wild west

the atmosphere and theme at this pubnight was way better than last week’s. the food was at boston pizza was mediocre at most serving only pizza and fries, neither made me feel good after eating. the photobooth was a hit as it should be. although i was running around most of the night, i had a much better time running into and mingling with many. i got a chance to catch up with some old mates, talking and laughing at some of the old times. it’s great to see so many familiar faces at events like this

day 1193 – skittles night

image

rdl execs hard at work getting ready for project skittles pubnight. rdl is still young and growing, but this is the biggest pubnight yet. yelling over drunk and sober rowdy people all night long isn’t recommended; i got home and realized my throat is dry and scratchy. regardless, it was a fun night just getting together with the league and getting to know people that i have seen but never really met. even won a bottle of barbecue sauce to take home with me. i’m disappointed that the priorities wasn’t there, but sometimes it’s better to find out than to never realize where you stand

day 1146 – season five

image

richmond dodgeball season five is officially underway. this is the closest rdl game we’ll ever have because it’s played at a vancouver school. rdl has been expanding every season since the first; this season we’re proud to have twenty eight registered teams. my first real dodgeball action after three months of healing my throwing shoulder and elbow, and the rust is so noticeable. sour catch kids as a team has a lot to work on to get our teamwork back in sync

day 816 – round of shots

originally wasn’t feeling up to going to rdl pubnight because i have been so bummed out with the happenings lately, but i am really glad i went out. initially going cause i felt the need to fulfill my exec duties, but it ended up to be a great night. the photobooth, the drinks, the amazing people, the chats, the yelling over the music – maybe not the yelling part because i now have a sore throat. had a few too many rounds of shots tonight, but i know that won’t bode too well during confession. despite being trapped in richmond in order to sober up, it was a great night with the rdl family and i hope everyone got home safely
