the day started off well and ended off well but i let my emotions get the best of me in the afternoon. i was stupid, but i’m human too; when bent too far, i too, will snap. i made up for it by having a solid training session led by the grandmaster himself; good thing i didn’t disappoint him. i’m discouraged with the load put upon me and pulling me from all directions, but i’m more discouraged that i didn’t handle myself better. somedays i’ll have feelings, somedays i won’t; but i’ve learned that i will be okay because something better is on its way
it’s all about aesthetics this afternoon as i’m perfecting cooking dumplings and making sure it’s cooked to the perfect shade of golden brown. i may be a picky eater, but require nothing fancy nor expensive, just need basic food that’s done the right way. chicken dumplings paired with banana got me through another saturday shift; keeping it simple just like any ordinary saturday
they say a bad day can be made better by going to the gym – i agree. this is one of my happy place; one that i can feel safe like my home. it’s a great feeling to be back at the nash i was so used to before i went on a galore of travelling. i’ll be back often and be a regular again. i am ready to break a sweat for a night session and beat out all the troubles at hand. definitely starting the month of june off with a good session, a month of many good things to look forward to and work hard for
i think i made one of the biggest decision since my existence but i also think it’s a necessary one. i’ve been in limbo for quite some time but i kept quiet and tried to hide everything inside. today, i took a huge leap of faith and let go of something i really should have let go long ago, but was afraid to do so. i sat at starbucks to recollect myself because i wasn’t sure if i was aware what just happened. now it’s time to collect my thoughts and think about the steps i need to take moving forward. this was an all important decision and i believe it’s the right one because without it, i would continue to be a robot assuming my regular routine. this really forces me to focus on what i really needed to do – think about what’s best for me
i made this long weekend the deadline to make a big decision as to which path i wanted to take. i think i gave him enough chances and now i’ve made up my mind that it just wasn’t meant to be. the decision is made and i am happy i did because i will be able to live with that rather than having it linger on any longer. being on the edge of a relationship is tough, but i will be alright because love isn’t life’s entirety; life must go on. i am sure there comes a time when i will cross path with someone that was meant to be
each year there are many birthdays to celebrate, my mom, dad, brother, friends, coworkers, and of course my own. each and every year as it gets closer to my birthday, i start to feel a little more stressed knowing time is passing me by quicker than i can imagine. it scares me watching the time go by so fast and soon i will be at another stage in life. but before then there’s a lot more other things to worry about. for instance, school is up, what’s next?? what will my future hold, how will my career turn out, what will my relationship status be, how will i be able to cope with all these changes?? so many questions and so many unanswered questions waiting to be answered. in school we were given answer keys to determine whether we have the right or wrong answers; in life, that’s rarely the case. at this point in life, there are so many open ended questions and little knowledge of where to find the answers. this is when quarter life crisis kicks in and gets the best of us. i am no master at dealing with this, as i, myself, am still trying to figure things out. all i can say is take life as it is given, things start off with lots of uncertainties, but as time goes by, it will start to clear up. i’ve always been told everything will be okay in the end; if it’s not okay, its not the end.
after living for twenty years, you ought to know that life is full of challenges similar to a game of baseball that will throw fast balls, knuckle balls and curve balls whenever you least expect it. learn that no matter how many times you fail and how hard you fall, you just have to get up off your butt and attempt again. i have learned that i am not flawless and there are many things that needs improvement, but i am willing to make the changes required to be the person i want to become. still working on getting rid of all negative vibe and set a good examples for the younger ones i take under my wings. in the end, my ultimate goal is to be a positive influence to the people around me and leave a lasting finger print on their lives in some form. i will set my mind on doing what i want to achieve and prove all those doubters who once said there are things i cannot do. remember to always keep your eye on the ball, your head in the games and everything else will take care of itself. no one is born perfect, no one will ever come close to being perfect but those who try to be who they are will be the happiest. in other words, just be who you are and everything else will take care of itself
…and that wraps up my twenties series. hope you enjoyed reading up on what my thoughts are as much as i enjoyed writing them. hope to do more series soon
