day 2277 – girl can dream

a design concept i’ve stayed up many late nights thinking and working on this model. i’ve really taken this concept to heart hoping one day i could own a space like this and run my own business. i imagined a space reasonably sized, but with all the necessary equipment arranged in what i deem as the most ideal layout. a space i own could never go without a personal gym space. i wonder if and when this could become a reality. i understand for this to happen, a lot of steps and obstacles must be taken, but i’ll keep dreaming in the meantime

day 2259 – film set

a couple men came into the office carrying a whole bunch of equipment. apparently, we hired a filming company to record some footages for our new company website video. i don’t know what it’s all about, but they conveniently set their equipment at my desk and i was too shy to go back to my desk to work. i was then forced to take lunch because i couldn’t do anything productive

day 2228 – self care sundays

hardly ever spend time on my skin care, but figured my lazy sunday is the perfect time to do it. the secret of staying twenty four is not doing anything for it and then treating it with the once in a blue moon face mask. i also got around to washing my car and washing my hockey gear, both of which was in dire need of cleaning. it’s cloudy and drizzly, hope it air dries in time before my next game

day 2083 – sanders sanding

brought all my plyometric boxes into flightclub so we could all so some sanding together. we waited until the parking lot cleared out before we got started and didn’t finish until well past dinner time. at that point, i was too tired to join them for late night wings, so i went home and ate whatever was leftover. i should have been more prepared to be covered in sawdust. now that sanding is complete, i’m debating if i should do a paint job and add a rubber surface to the tops

day 2015 – romaleos

feeling so excited that my neon nike romaleos 3 was delivered to my doorstep. i’ve never olympic lifted with olympic lifting specific shoes, but i’ve only heard good things about how well it allows you to get under the bar. i notice it’s difficult for me to pull the bar over me which is why i don’t punch the bar aggressively. this should put me into a better position when catching the snatch at the bottom. i can’t wait to try them on the platform and lift bigger weights over my head

day 1854 – treadmill trek

walking through the woods and running through the city while watching federer play the game he knows best. a rare day in the gym without doing squats or any barbell related exercises. i don’t usually do cardio at the gym aside from warmup, but i had to try out their new treadmills with these cool features. i didn’t do any compound movements, but it was enough to know that my shoulder is still nowhere near normal functions. all i wanted to do was insert myself back into some activities

day 1853 – back to flight

trust me i was feeling butterflies even in my veins straggling into the gym not knowing how my body will handle all the movements i’m about to do. aside from a few pieces of new equipment, everything about the place remained the same. i didn’t accomplish a whole lot, but getting through the class was an accomplishment within itself. i felt pleased that i had the guts to go head over heels on my first day back. i’ll take what i’m given for as long as my body takes to settle in. didn’t want to push it too hard and just want to be back tricking and flipping. i know that everything will start to click with time and repetition, but in the mean time it’s just putting in the work. work hard for what i want, but stay patient enough for what i’ve always wanted
