day 1977 – big screen television

the delivery guys brought the new television my parents ordered on boxing day. after installation, we realized we need to buy a new tv stand that’s wider because the existing stand wasn’t built to hold monstrous screens like this. i never once thought my living room would have something almost cinematic. it totally redefined the definition of big screen television. now imagine reclining my seat to watch all the movies and sports games on high definition

day 1924 – 98 degrees

been looking forward to attending the concert of my favourite boy band back in the 2000’s. the inside of vogue theatre had an old smell and uncomfortable seats. i saw a dozen familiar faces and funny enough the person who sat on my other side was also someone i knew from dodgeball. good thing we didn’t have to stand the entire time. i had a good time jamming away, but i just wished that they sang more from their own album and less of christmas songs

day 1637 – canuckle head

dethroning the kings wasn’t expected but that’s what canucks did as eriksson potted two goals within four minutes into the first period. my prediction prior to the game was a win four to two,  but they went on to drown the kings six to two. getting the win was good but also seeing boeser score two more and horvat finally back in the lineup was even better. this night out was definitely needed as i had one heck of a day at work fielding ridiculous requests after requests. wish these people dishing out unreasonable requests would have some understanding and knowledge of what we do is really not cut and paste

day 1582 – kurios

cirque du soleil once again proves it’s entertainment at its best. a little under the weather but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to good seats for kurios. it was a display of amazing acrobatic skills that took me through time warp and challenged my perceptions. this would be one of the better cirque shows i’ve seen so far. kooza, zarkana, totem, ka, toruk, and now kurios, i have never been disappointed walking out of their shows. each time i witness something different that is mind blowing

day 1563 – musical

watching the premiere of joseph technicolor dreamcoat was a good way to spend my friday night and wind down after this kind of long week. the musical certainly tapped into my inner fine arts that i’ve almost forgotten i had. i thought it was a great musical that had me from start to finish, the main actor had a lot to do with it. there’s a few upcoming musicals that might interest me in coming back for more. it was a very productive and fulfilling day both at work and off work. it’s also a way to take my mind off work and things i shouldn’t be thinking about

day 1532 – nucks and sens

pushing through the crowded rogers arena during intermission taking photos with my all time favourite canuck. the canucks off to a good start getting points in the both games played. specifically chose to attend this all canadian matchup against senators because of alex burrows. it was a nice gesture to play a special burrows tribute video during a stoppage. although the canucks didn’t take the win, it was a good game getting our value of overtime and shootout

day 1432 –  strathcona

it was neat to spectate a strathcona and china team basketball game. up until halftime was a good paced game and close matchup. it’s been a long time since i last played or5ganized basketball. it brought back a lot of memories of the hamber hardwood days and how i wished it never ended. i really do miss it but i was told to give it up for the sake of my knee. even though my knee has gotten stronger through the years of rebuilding it, i’ll forever be reminded how long and hard that road was
