my little hospitality design minion invited me over to her place for my belated birthday celebration. we had our long overdue catch up chat while enjoying our steak salad and roasted veggies. after our delicious dinner, we went out for an evening stroll while the sun set behind us. the perks of living in olympic village is the seawall is literally her backyard. i’m very thankful i was out today to take my mind off things that’s causing my stress level to rise
parents sent some pictures back whilst they’re enjoying the sun and beaches in cuba. they haven’t been online a whole lot during this trip, but when they are, they like to whatsapp a bunch of pictures they took. it’s good to see that they’re enjoying their time off and much deserved vacation. i hope that one day i can also have the same amount of vacation days and luxury to travel the world. i guess i should start looking and planning for next my vacation destination
it’s not often, but sometimes i try and could look quite classy too. it’s that time of the year to dress up for the annual harrison hotsprings company christmas party. the party was catered buffet with an open bar. came out having enjoyed good food, lots of photos and a nice big door prize. the dinner party was just the beginning; the after party was where the main event was at. perfect time to put on the party hat to join in on the games and the shots of soju that came with. it was a good night of partying that didn’t settle down until 3am. i’ll be tired and maybe even hungover, but i’ll enjoy myself to the fullest
spending labour day on the water going for my second bout of wakeboarding and first bout for wakesurfing. much more enjoyable than the first spending much more time on the water instead of in the water. was unsure if it would be fun in the freezing cold water, but the wet suits made it alright. good way to close off an adventure-filled summer and probably marks the end of a season and the coming of fall. and maybe, just maybe, next summer i will be learning how to flip and do tricks for surfing. sad to see summer go but it was fun while it lasted, until next time!!
a thank you card along with gift card for my efforts in helping design the team logos and jersey layouts. was not expecting this at all, just doing what i enjoy doing is a good way to keep fine tuning my skills. i guess this is called good karma, what a kind and classy captain i have
