day 1824 – current status

icing and heating both my shoulder and elbow while maintaining movement is the story of the day. i really didn’t know what to do and what to think of it because i hadn’t done any tests, scans or rays. i refused to go to emergency even though dozens urged me to do so. i had no mood to do anything knowing sports is off limits right now. so i just stayed at home in the heat and sweated my sorrows away

day 1384 – dr seuss

taking a page out of dr seuss to motivate myself on this rain-filled monday. it’s always hard to wake up on monday and only harder when my back and neck are not at par and now even my elbow is in damaged. my elbow is swollen and in pain, but i’m in denial that is more than a bad bruise. i’ll wait for my chiropractor’s judgement before deciding if i need further scans. i can’t picture what life would be like if it came back positive

day 1319 – reassessed

i got my shoulder reassessed and that explained why my shoulder doesn’t rotate like it should. the numbness and tingling through my arm has worsened the past two years. i’m told if it’s not addressed, it will be very difficult to continue my tennis and dodgeball. through some cupping alternatives, there’s a bit of improvement in my shoulder orientation, but it’ll take a lot more to adapt and remain in its proper place

day 1318 – clubhouse

practicing for queen’s tournament in this private clubhouse. my arm didn’t hold up for long before it went dead halfway through. good thing i’m going into my chiropractor tomorrow. thank goodness i made it to friday after feeling unwell for most of it. everyday since i returned from portland, with the exception of wednesday, has been a late night. i really need to set a protocol for my sleeping schedule because i don’t foresee my schedule slowing down this month

day 860 – stunned

picked up my stunning glasses bought through black friday sale. picking up ordered goods is always very exciting. it was a night of hard training, even though i don’t feel like it was my hardest workout yet. i wasn’t aware i was working hard until i realized the back of my shirt was all sweaty. for someone who doesn’t sweat a whole lot, my shirt was surprisingly damp by the end and then i knew i was all warmed up to rack up wins in the last week of rdl before playoffs. but sad to say my elbow was in a lot of pain a few throws in. i need more medical attention and hope that will help me hold up for playoffs
