day 2279 – foot issue

everything seemed fine during training and i even landed my handspring on floor midway through. two hours after the fact, my foot started having shooting pain. i’m beyond puzzled why my foot is in so much pain that i ended up at the emergency. the area below my ankle had a big hard bump that i described as bone-like. i went through the standard protocol and took xrays, left the hospital with the doctor diagnosing it as an achilles tendonitis. i had a chiro and physio take a look and both think it’s much more than that. i could no longer weight bear and had to resort to crutches to get around

day 871 – lift a little

soreness amassed from this week’s training and physio exercises shouldn’t stop me from my scheduled workout. i went to the gym as planned and was prepared to struggle mighty hard. as i had the weight on my back, i thought the bar felt extra heavy today. it was difficult, but somehow forced myself to finish it and walked off still intact. i was randomly thinking back on my squats this evening, and suddenly realized the weight i had mounted on my bar exceeded what i thought i had. i felt dumbfounded i hadn’t realized it at that time, but pleased that i had done it anyway. it goes to show that the mind likes to play number games and sometimes ignorance is a good test for the body

day 187 – hole puncher

was trying to hole punch my building code book and somehow managed to break one of the hole puncher knob as i was adjusting it. guess i turned it too hard when trying to tighten and secure it in place with a screwdriver. this hole puncher is a weakling and definitely past its prime
