day 641 – night photography

DSC_0019

tonight was a rather chilly night, but went out with a friend in search of the picture worthy places around town to capture some of the very best of vancity. this is my first time taking out my expensive toy and a tripod to take night shots. it is also my first attempts to play around with dslr and long exposures functions. here’s a pretty dandy shot which i thought deserved tonight’s notable mention. some of the pictures turned out quite well. i think i’ll have to invent more time in photography to get better understanding of my camera’s capabilities

day 637 – photoshoot

image

practicing posing, sidekick and front snap kicks are amongst the many things i did tonight. playing around with some ultra expensive toys and lens that easily surpasses the triple digit mark. we were just having some fun casually kicking around and playing with lighting and angles. it was a night where i can set aside the pressures of preparing for competition, but must be extra careful not to overkill my legs and groin. the camera setup was super ghetto based on the resources we were given. i guess that’s what makes the photoshoot even more amazing

day 523 – dslr

image

my dslr camera from boxing day shopping came in a week ago, yet i have not had little time for myself let alone time to play around with my new toy and put it to good use. can’t wait until i can relax to have some leisure time and personal time to do the many other things that also lies within my interest. so much to do so little time, i worry with each ticking second

day 296 – meteor

image

i just happen to be in the vicinity of richmond district tonight so we made a last minute decision to hang around iona beach in hopes of catching some meteor. unfortunately because of our spontaneous decision, we weren’t prepared for the cold so didn’t manage to stay long enough to catch any. next time we shall be more equipped and well prepared to stay longer and maybe even a dslr to go along with it

day 15 – my first dslr

cheapest nikon dslr you will ever find in any market in the world but don’t expect it to work like one, not even as a usb like its designed to be. but at $13 hong kong dollars which is roughly two dollars canadian, i guess it can still be a cute little keychain if not an inexpensive paper weight
