day 2425 – attempted run

woke up with a plan to get some fresh air and do a morning run, but it didn’t go as planned. it was raining when i woke up, but once the sky cleared up, i walked to van tech field with an intent. i could barely get through two laps around the oval before i called it quits. goes to show how out of shape i am and how much work i’m going to have to put into this cut. will go back to the drawing board and try again soon

day 1788 – stranger things

img_20200130_21205677140746512928020.jpgi’ve failed to do any of my heavy lifts for a while now because i’ve been so occupied with many things from all directions. to be honest, i think the number one cause that’s keeping me away is being overworked at work. i’m constantly stressed and sleep deprived, i think more than half a year without vacation makes me more weary than i know it. there’s not much of a work life balance and that needs to change. i’m going back to the drawing board to map out what needs to be done to get myself back into equilibrium – that means going back into the gym doing things i love

day 1598 – team lead

setting up to finish the year strong with an organized workstation, organized priorities, and organized mindset. the new year will bring many new changes and growth for some of us in the design department. the manager already informed the team leads to expect more responsibilities; i’ll have a team of my own to manage. eleven months ago, new manager said he believes i can go as far with my hardwork. my role has grown quite a bit since, but expect that next year will have a drastic change in growing up and stepping up in this organization
