day 2142 – party in downtown

i was tired coming back from lengthy vacation and everything that happened at work. although i showed up fashionably late, it’s still important that i make an appearance at a birthday party. saw everyone from squirtle whom i haven’t seen for almost a month, had a drink and left charles bar extremely tired. i didn’t get home until 3am, i can’t imagine waking up for my appointment tomorrow morning

day 2078 – kwantlen grad

ever since my schooling days are over, taking transit has become a weird phenomenon. i did it today because i took a field trip to ubc robson square for a kwantlen graduate screening. it was probably unnecessary, but we stopped at michaels and timmys to buy a donut as a gift. glad to make it out to see the youngin finally make it through her degree and regain some freedom

day 1931 – hop on hop off

signed up for the big big bus where we have the flexibility to hop on and off the bus whenever we come across any attractions we wanted to see. we hopped on three different routes to go around downtown, chinatown, little india and orchard road. from this bus tour, i saw so many superb architecture and design. these busses saved us a lot of walking and definitely saved my knee from collapsing

day 1924 – 98 degrees

been looking forward to attending the concert of my favourite boy band back in the 2000’s. the inside of vogue theatre had an old smell and uncomfortable seats. i saw a dozen familiar faces and funny enough the person who sat on my other side was also someone i knew from dodgeball. good thing we didn’t have to stand the entire time. i had a good time jamming away, but i just wished that they sang more from their own album and less of christmas songs

day 1889 – beyonce concert

can’t say no when work offered free tickets to beyonce and jayz concert. i was getting impatient when the show was delayed an hour before some chloe x halle came on for a couple intro songs. it was also freezing inside bc place, but when beyonce hit the floor, she really did put on a show. the stadium was down right shaking when the music came on. it was a good show but ran way too late on a weeknight

day 1814 – potato wedges

a great win for the team as we strung together six solid innings to win by seven. timely defensive plays helped keep everyone in the game including my first time ever gunning out someone at home plate. spontaneity got the better part of me today as i was driving home after my game. it wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either and i wished i saved my quota for good poutinery found in downtown. i didn’t finish the whole thing but at least i can say i’ve tasted the timmy’s poutine

day 1488 – district hopping

a fully loaded day going through district after district. the walk through sketchy streets of old chinatown, pearl district, downtown area and then classy lloyd district. the streets were surprisingly quiet on a sunday morning but started filling as noon hit. the heat was sweltering in the afternoon as most of the traveling was outdoor and done on foot. we hit up cartlandia to grab some dinner; my food truck curiosity and appetite was satisfied and so was my sushi burrito
