day 865 – emergencies

image

spending sunday morning at mount saint joseph emergency wasn’t the plan but it happened. woke up uber early to door crash the hospital and still had to spend over two hours taking xrays to find out my finger fracture is still inconclusive. the doctor gave me a splint and told me to take more xrays next week. i tend to disobey medical instructions so i would much rather not wear it, and still trying to think of alternatives to get out of this splint cause it’s very restricting to my activities. if it’s indeed fractured or severely injured, i’d feel super deflated cause i can’t afford to take time off training. this would be a huge blow to me and my dreams at the most inopportune time

day 864 – troublemakers

image

i liked our playoff bracket and our chances heading in. it wasn’t the results we were hoping for but nothing to hang our heads upon. some of us were battling a cold and some of us were gimped, and given the circumstances i’d say we tried our best. we had two good series, one hard fought series and another i’d like to take back. but even if we made it any further, i felt my elbow was done after the third series even though i had a kinesiologist tape me up. something is noticeably wrong with my hand but i don’t recall what exactly happened. keeping it loose during the pre game team huddle, i am still proud of how troublemakers handled the season finale today

day 634 – tier 1 playoffs

image

never imagined i would be playing in tier 1 playoffs but here i am trying to hang in there with the big guns. we were considered the under dogs going in, but didn’t make ourselves easy opponents and gave them a run for their money. nothing to be ashamed of as we had a great season. we didn’t just take gradual strides forward, we leaped and exceeded all expectations. no matter what at the end of the day we still took home wednesday best dressed team

day 132 – professional photography

image

photos from dodgeball playoffs posted by a professional photographer and this particularly picture caught me eye. never knew what i looked like when playing in a serious match. i guess this is my in game body position and alert and focused game face. credits to peter so photography for all the sweet pictures

day 123 – what a day, glad that’s over

my marathon day included taekwondo, dodgeball playoffs, instructor seminar, and training twelve hours consecutive. just wasn’t my day, nothing really went my way since i never felt into my dodgeball games and my mind, arms and legs were super exhausted towards the end of the day to be any use for training. need to brush it aside and look forward
