day 2343 – marshmallow

when i said big things was coming this year, i didn’t mean marshmallow. starting off the sunny new year day being strong and chipping away at clean and jerk technique. i also got my car’s headlight replaced, cleaned out the rest of my wardrobe, organized some things and watched some prince of tennis. the dinner table was stacked with eight delicious dishes. ended the day relaxing with a facial mask. i would say that’s decent start to the year

day 2336 – tong’s christmas

the annual christmas dinner at tong’s residence never has any shortage of tasty food. as a tradition, mom makes a delicious stuffed turkey every year. this year, to complement the turkey were cauliflower pancakes, roasted bacon wrapped enoki, turmeric salmon, baked rice and green salad. a special day is meant to be shared with the special people in my life. thank goodness it wasn’t a full day of eating with no exercise. it was nice to step out for a couple hours to train a bit at flightclub

day 2199 – sushi satisfaction

had japanese food two days in a row but i don’t mind it one bit. still going strong with the intermittent fast as long as i keep dinner to a reasonable time. had an appointment in the morning to fix some ailing problems. then a fun taekwondo shift today even though we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. it’s getting close to that time again for both the colour belt and blackbelt testing. this time i’m don’t feel as rushed and stressed preparing the students that should be taking it

day 2068 – sushimoto bro

having sushi at sushimoto for my brother’s early birthday dinner because our weekdays are too busy. my brother and i can never get sick of japanese food. we ordered some of their specialties like salmon belly, saba oshis, organic rolls and of course sashimi which all tasted delicious. too bad the quality of their food wasn’t backed up by their service. the waitress messed up our order and tried to blame us instead

day 1833 – spot prawns

my parent’s week-long tour of greater vancouver continues with steveston fisherman’s wharf. dinner is served with loads of fresh seafood that my parents brought home from steveston market. my family rarely chooses to eat shellfish for health reasons. for some reason my parents planned out today to be a homecooked seafood fest. i couldn’t turn down the fresh sockeye salmon and delicious spot prawns

day 1690 – squirtle bonder

bonder for squirtle squad at the fancy chop steakhouse. i went all out because i knew they were well known for steak and the prime rib i ordered was absolutely delicious. it’s one of the odd times i order medium rare and i actually get it done with a good amount of red in my meat. left with a pretty hefty bill but treating myself once in a while is not so bad. the squirtle jerseys are in and done; we’re ready for the spring season. it sounds like we have a good team and i’m really looking forward to it

day 1608 Рfamily feasting

annual christmas day family feast where my mom serves the most delicious turkey in the world. the meal is delicious as usual but the quality time spent together is more precious with each passing one. i’m forever thankful to be able to spend christmas day with my family each and every year and i don’t want that to change. in the end, they go the distance to give me the best they can in every possible way. in reality, they deserve better than what i can provide them. nothing is worth sacrificing my family in any way: i’ll try my hardest to keep that close to heart as a reminder. christmas, after all, is spending time with your loved ones that will always be there
