day 1889 – beyonce concert

can’t say no when work offered free tickets to beyonce and jayz concert. i was getting impatient when the show was delayed an hour before some chloe x halle came on for a couple intro songs. it was also freezing inside bc place, but when beyonce hit the floor, she really did put on a show. the stadium was down right shaking when the music came on. it was a good show but ran way too late on a weeknight

day 1789 – pay up

settled the winter term paychecks so me and my instructors can get paid for our services delivered more than three months back. getting paid for killarney is always so troublesome since they’re nit-picking on the smallest detail. the amount on my cheques doesn’t even justify how much time i spend doing the payrolls. glad winter term is finally dealt with, but that means it’s just about time to send in the spring invoices so i can start calculating payroll all over again

day 1746 – ripped off


being a saturday, i hadn’t had much to eat all day – a peanut butter toast and almond milk. hence i was really looking forward to some good food at the exec season ender. that was not the case. when our 7:30pm reservation time came around, only eleven people were on time. as a result, everything was delayed and we didn’t get our first dish until quarter past eight. by then i had to stop eating because i had hockey to play. i stayed as long as i could, i mingled and chatted, but that doesn’t change i only had one gyoza down my stomach. needless to say, i left for hockey hungry and feeling ripped off. i played and scored, and left the rink for food so my stomach can stop eating itself 

day 1621 – big lifts


had an extremely late night but woke up early with a few things in mind. hitting the gym was mandatory, for today is designated for strength. the few hours of shut eye took a toll on me and took me a few hours to halt the lethargy. since i anticipated on training, i didn’t want to eat and went with the banana i stuffed down an hour ago. making my way to the gym with an empty stomach and was probably a horrible idea. i knew it was going to be a grind, but feels good to still have gotten through the heavy big lifts. with all that delay, i didn’t get any food in me until roughly half past five. need to be cautious not to be malnutritioned where all my meals are jumbled up like today 

day 917 – cleaning

i hate paperwork, and truly believe i am not meant to for this type of task. these were due for year end, but still have not yet figured out the boss’ ever changing standards. to further delay the task, i did some mild cleaning of my room and trunk today and finally cleared out some bags out of my closet. any kind of distraction is good distraction so i can continue to avoid the neverending paperwork. i guess i still found a way to be productive, but those paperwork will have to wait another day

day 693 – leaving on a jet plane

time to fly out on yet another red eye flight. montreal, ready or not here i come. flying out this time has a different feeling, i guess it’s becauseĀ unlike the previous years, there isn’t much of a team bc to go with. it’s definitely a strange feeling but the show must go on regardless. at the airport waiting for my first flight which is delayed. let’s hope this flight doesn’t delay too long cause i have a connecting flight to catch

day 420 – dodgeball 101

it’s been a long time since i threw a ball but here i am at start of season 18. thought this season would never start because of all the uncertainties and disruptions due to vancouver school board strike. that was resolved and now the season is finally underway with full house of eager dodgeballers at exhibition week dodgeball 101. this gym has great floor, but the poor lighting of this gym gave me a real headache
